I don't see the [expletive] problem at all, that [expletive] is kind of hilarious.

Yea so Incognito is almost certainly some weird, demented man-child. Holy hell was that stuff just [expletive] weird and kinda sad.

CBS Sports is shaking up its NFL studio show, hiring the recently retired Tony Gonzalez and cutting Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe. CBS Sports Chair Sean McManus told THE DAILY that the network is in the process of hiring another analyst soon, but added that deal was not ready to be announced yet.

Also, anyone trying to excuse his behavior with "oh but it's the culture of the locker room" is a [expletive].

I think the majority of people who use that argument have based it on their interpretation of 80's movies.

Not that these shows are ever really good, but that's a big improvement for them. Those 2 are just ridiculous meat heads and Gonzalez seems like he'll be able to bring some intelligent observations to the show.

I feel bad for Ray Rice. Somewhere out there is a video of me dragging my nearly unconscious wife back up the elevators at the same hotel.

I'm assuming it wasn't after you closed fist punched her in the face (allegedly)?

No, it was after 6 months of no sleep due to a newborn, a bottle of champage and 2 bottles of red wine (the 2nd one barely getting touched and in my hand on the way back upstairs). Great dinner though.

I wonder how an nfl locker room will accept a man who beat his wife unconscious? It’s a crazy world. Incognito may never be allowed to play again. Ray Rice will be suspended for 4 games max. This is not a defense of incognito just a statement that what Ray Rice did was 100x worse.

And it's possible both will be more easily accepted than Michael Sam.

he will be doing an inordinate amount of media for a rotation d-lineman. I could see the guys on the team not understanding it and getting pissed. And ray rice is probably the captain of the team next year.

Re-design your unis after a few down seasons, to generate cash flow.

That's got to be a bullet-point in a sports franchise success book, somewhere.

WORST: Roger Goodell’s Salary

Roger Goodell makes $44 million as NFL commissioner. This story actually broke at the end of last week, but discussion around it continued this week. The worst part about this isn’t even that it’s unfair or outrageous; $44 million sounds just about perfect for someone who’s in charge of the NFL. Maybe even a little low, considering the NFL generates $10 billion annually. There’s nothing wrong with the CEO of a gigantic corporation making a ton of money.

But when that corporation is “nonprofit” that enjoys massive tax breaks while capitalizing on antitrust immunity and gouging a different city’s taxpayers for new stadium deals every single offseason? Well now, THAT’S a little depressing. But Roger Goodell has distracted everyone from this reality, and the NFL gets richer every year, so hey, you can’t say he’s not earning his money. Speaking of NFL stories that will make you lose faith in humanity …

This is just a reminder of how much the NFL, the organization itself, sucks.

The discussion is still in the early stages, but the NFL is considering a proposal to move extra points back from the 2-yard line to the 25-yard-line for the 2014 preseason, NFL.com reported Monday.

That would make the kick a 43-yard attempt instead of a 20-yard attempt.

"There is no consensus yet," a competition committee member told NFL.com. "We could experiment in preseason, but we are not there yet."

If the league goes ahead with the experiment of moving the extra point back to the 25, it would presumably leave two-point conversion attempts at the 2-yard line, and teams would be much more likely to go for two.

Per a league source, the Seahawks won’t be applying the franchise tag to defensive end Michael Bennett. Which means that he’ll hit the open market, a year after signing a one-year, $5 million deal to join Seattle.

Well, that's just [expletive] stupid

I always think on proposals like this that it would take the element of surprise away from whether a team is going for a fake XP, or on a botched XP snap, but then I realized how incredibly rare either of those are.

I think the Jolly Roger is a touch too big on the helmet
