I know I will be laughed out of town for saying this, but if McCown plays this solid do you want to see more of Jay to evaluate him in this offense or do you play McCown thinking he can give you a better chance of making the playoffs that a gimpy Cutler who has been out for 6 weeks?

You can't count on a 35 yr old guy with one good season under his belt, IMO.

Sometimes I'm glad to live in the South. That weather looks so brutal.

It's every bit as bad as it looks. It's been a few years since we had a December like this.

Meh you get used to it. Not the weather, it sucks to be outside more than 5 minutes, but the whole living life in the cold weather thing. The only thing that truly kills me about winter in Chicago is getting dark at [expletive] 4:15 right now.

Unless his season is better than your starter's who is probably still hurt

Just completely hypothetically, what is the cap difference between Cutler and McCown next year and what could we do with that?

Probably anywhere from 12-15 million difference. I don't think there's anyone they could sign to make up the difference in talent though, especially considering there would be no McCown behind McCown.

Ditka heading back to his heated box is the fastest those tennis shoes have moved in years

The only time he moved faster is running to sign his name to the newest willing sponsor's contract

yeah there was no reason for mccown to make that throw, besides the fact that it was to alshon

The reason was there and obvious. One shot at end zone, no chance for completion in field of play. Throw it to corner and if it's not a td then you kick.

Cutler is making like 10.3 mil or something this year. Not sure what McCown makes. Then you gotta think McCown would get a sizeable raise if Bears want him back as a starter next so probably like 12 mil? I'm just guessing here.

I will take that a million times over 40 with rain.

Apologies - I thought you meant from 2014 onward.
