Chattanooga? Oh [expletive] off

When Chattanooga comes to town, you can throw the record books out. That'll be a battle. Not sure what the current spread is, but it should be a pick 'em.

How is Stanford ahead of Ok St and Mich St in the BCS coming off a second loss? The Pac 12 is a very circular argument and if Oregon slides into the BCS title game its gonna suck.
Posted
They should be careful how much they pump up Baylor becausen when Ok St beats them then you pretty much have to put Ok St in the top 5 with a very legit shot at a mythical national championship.

OK State isn't playing for the national title. No matter who comes out of the SEC, they will finish ahead of the Cowboys, and Florida St isn't gonna lose. Even if they did, Ohio St would be there.

To answer your previous question, Stanford has 3 wins over teams ranked in the top 17, more than anybody else, while neither OK St or Mich St has beaten a ranked team.

Look at those turds at the top of the rankings. This late in the season, does the ncaa really want people to not watch THAT badly?

Thats kinda cherry-picking. I could say that the gamecocks are the only team to give two top 18 teams their only loss. Beside ASU and UCLA play on saturday so stanford will only hold that distinction for a few days. Bottom line they lost to a bad team and a mediocre team.

USC is ranked now, so how mediocre are they, really?

And ND is the only other team to defeat 3 currently-ranked teams, so if you want me to extend to the top 25, the point still stands. Stanford has far, FAR better wins than Oklahoma State or Michigan State. Moreover, if you consider USC mediocre, than what do you think of three-loss ND (MSU's loss) and SEVEN-loss West Virginia (Oklahoma State's)?

USC is a decent team i shouldnt have called them mediocre. I expected USC to beat Stanford and I hope they beat ASU.

A road loss to ND is a pretty forgiveable loss in my opinion and although the teams arent ranked the wins at Iowa, at nebraska and the beatdown of michigan are impressive wins.

Bottom line is I think the PAC 12 is trash and it gets a pass because people assume STanford and Oregon are great teams and a few other pac teams get ranked by racking up wins against bad teams.

What's the argument that USC is better than ND?

ND beat USC head to head, and won a game against mutual opponent ASU who USC lost to by 20.

Just like every other conference?

Who else will be flipping between Bama/Chatanooga and FSU/Idaho?

I JUST CAN'T CHOOSE

It was nice of Alabama and FSU to schedule bye weeks before their games against Auburn and Florida respectively.

Ferentz vs. Hoke in the "Loser Has One More Year Before Alumni Start Calling For His Head" Bowl.

This game has no impact whatsoever on Ferentz or the fans' perception of him. Some think he's fine, some want him to go. His buyout is still the biggest hurdle for Iowa.

Similarly, while losing to Iowa would be bad, Hoke can save his season by beating OSU. You don't gain or lose much at UM in the Iowa game.

Only watching because I'm an FSU fan and will be more nervous about potential injuries than enjoying the game.

As a potential BCSCG team, I'm glad FSU did this to mimic the SEC. I don't think anyone could have predicted we would need an easy week before the UF game this year. In most years, I'll allow it and appreciate it.

As a fan, the practice eats dog turds.

There really isn't one, but after losing to mediocre-to-bad Pitt and Michigan teams I don't care much where ND is ranked these days.

I disagree re Hoke. He isn't going to beat OSU, so he needs this game to avoid a 7-5 / 3-5 record, which - combined with the anemic offense and up and down defense - will put his head squarely on the block. 8-4 / 4-4 isn't much better, but it probably will be perceived that way.

I don't think the difference is going to matter at all. If he can't win more than 7/8 games next year, he's likely out in matter whether he wins 7 or 8 this year. They could still win a bowl and finish with 8 wins. But that difference just doesn't matter. 4 losses is too many at this point in his tenure with the team.
