Just brutal. Im going to play nice so hopefully you guys do the same when the inevitable happens to westbrook. Seriously, these guys are too big and jump too high and play too physical to not have this be the likely outcome.

 

I've been sitting here trying to figure whether and/or why this seemingly happens more often to the modern hoops player than the ones I grew up watching in the 80's and early 90's. your theory sounds as good as any I came up with.

 

Now I'm going to stick my head in a blender. If Rose is out for the year, I'd suggest they radically rip this thing down: trade everyone one with a pulse who isn't named Joakim or Jimmy, and hope we luck into Wiggins or Parker.

This reminds me so much of what happened with Rex in 04 and 05 except that Rose is like 1000000x better.

That is my uneducated guess too. The modern professional athlete has muscles that are too big and strong for their ligaments. Your ligaments can't really get strengthened through exercise, right?

That's my thought. Get what you can for Deng/Noah/Heinrich, amnesty(?) Boozer. Hope for a good lotto pick? What does that Charlotte pick do for them?

Looks like the Charlotte pick has a fair chance of being ~ 11-13th pick this year. There might be a way the Bulls could move into the lottery with the right package of picks. Some bad GMs out there.

I don't know if we will know until the surgery. I think some are worse than others. Chris Paul took 8 weeks, I think. Didn't Westbrook have two surgeries?

I think Ron Artest took like 12 days to come back. But I am going to assume the worst and think it is season ending.

So even if Rose misses significant time, I take it this is potentially good news long term? Or at least better than the worst case scenario.
