So I'm in a survivor pool at work. The pot is $2500. Moving into week 5, there are only six people alive. I don't watch a ton of NFL, but so far I've survived. This week is a toughie, though, and I could use some expert advice.

For those of you who've never done one, the rules are:

•You have to correctly pick the winner of one game (the matchup of your choice) every week.

•If your pick is correct, you advance to the following week.

•If your pick is wrong, you are eliminated. Last man standing wins.

•You can only pick a team to win once the entire season.

So far, I've used

Indianapolis

Baltimore

Seattle

Denver

I'm considering Atl over NYJ, StL over Jax, SF over the Texans. Thoughts?

Atlanta, though STL is tempting

ATL is not a good team, and NYJ are not a bad team, so that's a risky proposition.

STL is probably your best bet on account of "anyone at home vs JAX".

The Jaguars have scored 3 touchdowns in 4 games. Two of those touchdowns came in the 2nd half against Seattle after they went down 31-0. Considering there's not going to be another game this year you want to pick the Rams in, they're the easy call. Only reason I'd think otherwise is that I imagine they'll be a very popular pick this week, so if you want to mix it up and potentially reap rewards quicker if St. Louis chokes that's another route you could go.

No, I'm not interested in getting fancy like that. I want to make the best pick possible each week, because the people who've tried otherwise have all been bitten by that strategy. I mean, it's week 4, and 19 of the 25 people have already been eliminated.

Yep, I always take the best matchup without future consideration. We're down to 1555 people from an original 3228. We have to pick 2 teams this week so it should start burning out pretty quickly.

I'd lean towards Atlanta. I completely agree that they aren't that great, and the Jets are ok. But that's a Monday night game for Atlanta at home that they have to have. The crowd is going to be really going, and you have a rookie QB on the other side. Geno has turned it over 7 times in his two road games.

St. Louis is a close 2nd, but that's strictly anti-Jaguars. I don't trust the Rams one bit. I don't know if it will make any difference, but you should remember that the Jaguars get Blackmon back from suspension this week. So it's possible their offense is a little better than how anemic they've been.

ATL may end up not being great, but their losses have come to teams with a combined 10-0 record (11-1 after tonight), and they've been in all of them.

Be careful picking road teams and divisional match ups. A lot of people lost with Cincinnati this week.

went with StL. Sweating a bit.

Looking good now. Anybody else in the pool look like they're going to drop out this week?

Everyone else picked the Falcons, except for one guy, who went w 49ers.

Why is this in fantasy sports? Is gambling a fantasy sport?

COME CELEBRATE WITH ME SNOOD!!

1,019 out of 1,547 entries in my pool had Atlanta as one of their teams.

Damn. What's the pot in yours?

So, looking pretty good, I assume?

Yes, down to three people. This week will be a tough call. Might need more nsbb guidance. Early thought is SF over ARI.

$96,840 in mine. Started with 3,228 guys. Down to 359 after tonight.

I really hope this Pick 2 stuff was one week only because I've already used IND, NE, SEA, DEN, GB, & SF.

My quick look had me thinking Bears, but I hate picking against winless teams for some reason

SF over ARI or KC over OAK with a quick look and what you've taken. Indeed a tough week.

I know Houston looked like garbage, but I think I'm down to them over STL, KC over OAK, or CHI over NYG

picking CHI over a winless NYG team on a short week when half of Bears Dline is dead scares me.

Jets over Pitt is also intriguing. I guess here are the options I'm considering with my concerns in parentheses:

SF over ARI (SF has seemed erratic, divisional foe)

CHI over NYG (Bears injuries, NY has to win sometime, right?)

NYJ over PIT (NYJ coming off road win. Pit has to win sometime, right?)

HOU over STL ( Houston isn't very good and Schaub is melting down, but man STL is bad)

KC over OAK (divisional)
