Not that I don't love Jay for doing it, but that's the throwing shoulder. It would suck if he got injured on a play like that.

Peanut:

"Remember, historically, we know that being plus-one in the turnover category allows you to win 70 percent of the time. Plus-two translates into winning about 80 percent of the time, and plus-three is somewhere in the 90-95 percent range."

Actually, that was Trestman during his PC last night.

Thank you for beating the Steelers. Horrible officiated game. I find it to be absolute crap that officials blow off close plays in or near the endzone. Since TD's are automatically reviewed anyway, let the process determine whether it was a touchdown or not. Each of the Steelers close plays was called a TD, meanwhile they called every one of the Bears ones short of the goal or out of bounds where they would have to be challenged in order to get the call right.

Official. Melton out for year with ACL tear. Big blow.

Unless they change the standard for what an overturn is, I don't agree with this thought. There are too many plays where there isn't enough visual evidence to not even attempt to call it right on the field. If they changed it to where things could be overturned on a preponderance of the evidence I would be supportive of that.

I'm sure your comment is more about your opinion of Melton, but of course its a big blow to lose one of your starting DTs 3 games into the season. He may not be as great as his reputation but we will miss the depth for sure.

Yes, the big blow is the question of depth. But teams lose players all the time.

I only saw it out of the corner of my eye last night and i was going to joke that defenders are terrified of hitting QBs in the open field, so they keep letting up and getting run over, but this looks like cutler legit trucking a dude.

I imagine they'll bring someone like toeina or okoye back

Toeina is not a 3-tech. I'd imagine Okoye would get the first call because he is more of an upfield pass rusher than Toeina. Zach Minter is going to have to be active for the first time in his career next week at least. Hope he takes advantage of it.

Was I the only one slightly insulted by the shot of NBC celebrating Hispanic Heritage by showing 3 white people looking like the 3 amigos, playing La Bamba with a sombrero on the ground looking for tips?

There are white hispanics...

Of course, those people probably weren't them and I did think it looked funny.

Not insulted as much as somewhat flabbergasted. So that did happen, right?

The highlight montage was highlighted by a Tony Gonzalez TD celebration (dunk over the goalpost) and the Hispanics were all Dallas Cowboys fans.

That included Victor Cruz doing the salsa.
