Is the Tenn game going to be broadcasted in any way?

MiLB TV should be carrying them if you subscribe. They'll be on their radio affiliate which you can listen to online via their web site.

@SmokiesonRadio: Make sure to listen in during the 5th inning as @Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts and Cubs scouting director Jason McLeod join the broadcast!

Daytona up 4-0 after 3. The big blow is a Pin-Chieh Chen 3-run double.

Tennessee 0-0 after one. Baez lined out to third base.

5 5 0 0 0 6 final line for Pierce. Daytona's starting pitching has been rather phenomenal. I hope the entire group moves to Tennessee to start next season .

Should Pierce Johnson's nickname be Prince Albert?

It's Phil Rogers, but he brings up an excellent point in his most recent article. Addison Russell is on the Solar Sox, so Javy will be playing a bunch of 2B. Makes sense, especially if Bryant is ticketed for a lot of PT at 3B. Alcantara is starting to look like trade bait to me.

Do they have the DH in the AFL?

Yes.

In a vacuum, that would not be a wise decision.

Alcantara is so weird to me; i understand batting eye taking a little time to develop, but in A-ball he played like he didn't possess any tools at all either

just two years ago:

19 2B, 5 HR & 15 SB in 160 games at A & A-

now he's on pace for 43/18/37 at AA and getting Reyes/Rollins comps

I think physically maturing is a big reason here. He was 18/19 at those levels. BBR has him currently listed at only 5'10" and 160. It's possible, if not likely, he's put on a good 20lbs since his A ball years.

The Cubs are going to hold onto everyone until they know what they have with all of them, mainly Castro. There's certainly room for all of them (Castro, Baez, Alcantara, Bryant) at the ML level, even if they have to move some guys around. Everyone's hoping SS, 3B, 2B, and OF respectively, but all should be able to play multiple positions if necessary to get their bats in the lineup.

I agree. There's no reason to dangle anyone prematurely (that sounded weird).
