Jokisch almost definitely will be added.

if he isn't, I expect he will be picked, if only because he's had a good year as a starter.

ESPN Chicago talked about Bryant's path being similar to Longoria today. I wanted to compare their stats:

Longoria in 937 minor league plate appearances (there's some rehab time in there, but I don't feel like figuring it without those PA's), put up a line of .296/.385/.528/.913 with 47 bombs and 104 walks to 170 K's. He played in the NYPL, California League, Southern League, and the Int League

Bryant through 648 minor league plate appearances, is at .340/.435/.691/1.126. He too has 47 homers, with 82 walks to 170 K's.

Obviously the strikeouts and defense definitely favor Longoria, and to be fair, he also had pro time as a 20 year old while Bryant did not.

Kris Bryant is good.

I've seen Kotsay used as a comp before on him, and welcome!

Thank you. I'm a long time, first time. I was around when Carlos was starting off. I just been lurking.

Longoria's rookie year has long been my go-to dream for Bryant in 2015.

I would love that also. If that happens the Cubs will be in the playoffs next year. Just imagine that year plus what we get from the rest of the team. Wow is all I could say. And I would wet myself. :)

Badler just tweeted that, if he had enough PA's to qualify, Soler would lead the minors in OPS. Since he does not, Bryant has the highest.

Also, Russell would be 5th in all of AA...as a 20yo SS.

Byron Buxton: .240/.313/.405, 33 K in 134 PA at A+

Addison Russell: .315/.385/.536, 32 K in 187 PA at AA

and Russell's younger

just sayin'

Unless Buxton has a very strong last few weeks, I would think it would be difficult to justify ranking him ahead of Russell.

I feel like the Cubs currently have 3 of the top 5 prospects in baseball..

You must have confidence Schwarber can stick at catcher!

are you guys still counting baez as a prospect?

we definitely have the top 3, any of which an argument can be made for #1 overall in mlb.

I will count Baez as a prospect until he isn't one.

I'm from about a month from now, when he'll have enough PA to not be eligible for prospect lists
