lebron gets wayyyy more criticism than his game deserves, but he brought it all on himself by constantly acting like a douche. it's silly how he gets treated, but i don't feel too bad about it.

I don't think it's an insult though. He's so much better than all of his peers, that's why we expect so much more out of him. If anything I want him to run the league for the next five years, he's much better than Kobe Bryant and thus I hope he gets enough titles that no one can try to rate Kobe higher.

if they could pull it out, 5 titles spanning 1999 to 2013 while being best or 2nd best player on team for all years would be damn impressive for Duncan. Too bad Miami will find a way to win easily.

ESPN's bottom line just said the Spurs had a 98.6% win probability at the time in which it was being discussed if the Spurs "choked" or not, fwiw

 

Of course they choked. Saying otherwise is absurd anti-meatbalism that has swung too far in the opposite direction.

 

This is crazy. If ray allen doesnt drill that 3 then the spurs gut out a win a championship. The ball came off the rim like it did and the heatmade the shots when they got the second chance. Lebron missed that first three so bad that good rebounding position became bad rebounding position and Bosh made a nice play to get the board and the ball to ray allen for the game tying three.

 

Two guys going 1-2 from the line down the stretch is not an epic choke job. Compare the likelihood of two guys going 1-2 from the line (which is a probability dead heat with going 2-2) and the unliklihood of what happened on the other end of the floor.

 

Crazy, huh? I'd say 98.6 percent speaks for itself.

I bet a team leading by two with 1 second left and the other team preparing to heave a 60 footer has like a 99.99999% chance of winning. if the guy makes the 60 footer did the other team "choke?"

It's weird too. Dude used to be a really good dribbler with the Sonics/Bucks. I guess that's what happens when you don't have to dribble more than 2 times anymore for the past 7 years or so.

That is a scenario that bears no relation to what actually occurred. No indefensible miracle occurred. If you are ahead by five with less than thirty seconds left and lose, you choked--short of the other team throwing in 60-footers.

 

It's OK, I get it. "Choke" is a term meatballs use. Meatballs are dumb. Therefore, there is a desire to reject anything meatballs might think. But this is a time their phrase fits.
