That was one of the worst things I've ever seen. It was like the proverbial car wreck you can't take your eyes off of, which makes me mad because there were so many ways I could have better spent two hours.

It was a shameful, shameful performance by the Illini. Gonna need a big win (probably two) to balance out this catastrophe of a week.

Wow, 15 points in the first half. That's some KU @ TCU style bad.

Are there any Tennessee fans on here? I need to gloat. That could very well be A&M's only decent win all season. Edited by Old Style

Probably should have pressed the team missing it's only point guard. Jesus Groce.

It's not as if NW was lighting up the scoreboard.

Of far greater concern to me was the Illini's complete inability to put the ball in the basket. Like the first half in Madison, but even worse. Rice can score, but we need shooters, and the only light at the end of that tunnel (as far as this season is concerned) is the potential development of Nunn and Hill.

i wonder how much different our ranking would look if we had just won that stupid Charlotte game

the other 3 losses were to the current #1, 7, 13 teams (the latter two being road tilts)

Well, I'm not as concerned about the shooting because they missed about 87 shots from inside of 5 feet. Most night a whole lot more of those are going in. It was definitely painful to watch though. The lack of consistent movement on the offensive end and Abrams' insistence on taking the ball to the hole or throwing up a crap 15-18 footer is much more of a concern for me.

Creighton's Ethan Wragge was launching some ridiculously deep 3's in yesterday's win over Xavier. The guy has insane range.

Embiid is going to be crazy good.

He is, as long as he doesn't have the physical breakdowns that 7 footers can/usually have. There's no doubt Wiggins is a special talent but I think he could really benefit from staying another year. Not that I think that's at all possible. He's gonna be a top 7ish pick at worst.

might have been a game if iowa st had just played super duper terrible instead of epically catastrophically historically terrible.

lol 4-25 on 3s.

Yeah, we were very fortunate to catch ISU on a cold streak. With Cobbins out, this was the biggest conference game of the year for us. It's nice to have two relatively tough roadies out of the way (OU, ISU). OKSt will still be a tough game, and Baylor has talent, but @ISU is a really tough place to play.

I dunno. I think he's just a victim of the crazy expectations that the LeBron comparisons created. I mean, he put up 17pts, 19rbs, and the announcers practically talked like he was a disappointment. I think he just needs to be stronger, stronger with the ball, and pick his spots better from 3.

yeah isu went from "hey let's win the conference" to "holy [expletive] let's not finish 7-11 in the b12 and miss the tournament" REAL fast.

I think that's exaggeration. No one's going to run away with this conference this year. I guarantee this KU team will lay 1-2 monster stinkers like a loss @ texas tech, a home loss to OU. Something dumb.

I think ISU will still be in the hunt for the title till the end.

Like when Bruce Weber kicks.... No seriously you might lose at OSU. You might lose at home to OSU or ISU. That's it though.

okie st is the least of kansas' "problems." embiid can just drop the ball in the hoop 40 times against that tiny lineup.

Yes, but marcus smart will shoot 168 free throws.
