Castro with the Jerome Walton stance. Maybe was just me blocking out last year's disaster of a season for the Cubs, but was that his stance then as well?

 

Something about it looks different to me, too. I could swear it wasn't that wide before.

 

I think it's the camera angle in Pittsburgh.

If Burnett gives that same pitch to Rizzo that he just gave to Castro, it'll be 2-0.

Tell us more.

 

In fairness, it was a different, meatier pitch. Castro hit a lowish curve. Rizzo crushed a high, hanging fastball.

Yeah, it does look wider to me too.

 

On a related note, there was no stance I loved imitating more as a kid than Jerome Walton's.
