17 strikeouts for Anibal Sanchez against the Braves.

The Braves are very good at striking out, idk what the MLB record is for team k's in a year but I bet the Braves will finish close to it

Nice outing from Jonathan Sanchez today. He allowed a home run to each of the first two batters and a single to the third. He threw at the head of the next batter and was tossed.

Jason Marquis is still in the league!?! He's pitching against Milwaukee tonight for San Diego

Haha. I saw a Grand Marquis this past week and randomly thought about Jason Marquis.

ETA: The reason I noticed this particular Grand Marquis is because it had 22 inch rims and was apparently sponsored by Facebook. It literally said "friend me on Facebook" on the bumper. I'd add him as a friend in a heartbeat, how am I supposed to find you???

A's-Angels going to the 17th now. Angels led 7-2 going into the bottom of the eighth but gave up four in the eighth and one in the ninth. They then gave up one in the 15th after scoring in the top half.

Mets-Marlins went 15 innings today also.

Kind of nifty to see Nate McLouth, who's from the little town I currently work in, having such a hot start to the season.

Though not as nifty as it would be if any of my fantasy players were having such success...

Early candidate for worst sac bunt of the year:

In Colorado, in the 4th inning, leading 3-2, after Matt Moore had just walked pitcher Jeff Francis on 4 pitches to put 2 on with 0 out, Dexter Fowler, who is hitting .303/.410/.606, sac bunted the two runners over.

The Rockies failed to score in the inning, and now trail by one.

EDIT: And to top it off, Fowler was actually injured on the sac bunt try and is now out of the game.

matt harvey pitched a beast of a game for the mets - 9 ip, 1 h, 0 r, 0 bb, 12 k. didn't get the win though, because the mets haven't scored.

And the hit was an infield hit.

I paid $15 in a fantasy auction for him in a keeper league (cap 260) - probably the best money I've ever spent. He's awesome.

Shelby Miller tonight vs. COL: 8 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 11 Ks. Not terrible.

Finished with a complete game and 13 strikeouts. The lone baserunner he allowed was Eric Young Jr in the top of the first. He then retired the next 27 in order.

Jon Lester retired the first 17 he faced and finished with a complete game 1-hitter with that one hit being the only baserunner as well. Only 5 K's though.

This is the first time since 1900 when two pitchers threw one-hit shutouts while walking no batters on the same day.
