The NCAA tournament ticker mentions Michigan's 1993 Final Four appearance as their last one, even though the NCAA itself ordered that appearance vacated. Good to know even the NCAA doesn't take that 'punishment' seriously.

They're only mad at Michigan for not being cleaner with their cheating. That team made the NCAA hell of money.

Did he say the bone came through the skin?

Yep, had a feeling that happened. They covered that leg up quick and his teammates where really shoke up.

Q for people who saw both live: was that injury worse than Johnny Knox's?

He jumped, landed and his leg looked was bent like he was down on his knees, except it wasn't bent at the knee but halfway down his leg. It was Joe Theismann's injury basically. I still think Marcus Lattimore or Napoleon McCallum were the worst I've seen. Lattimore almost kicked himself in the face without his thigh even moving. Knox's injury is worse than everyone's because it was the back. I think the leg injuries are "uglier" to look at though given that you can see stuff sticking out of places it's not supposed to and complete limpness of the leg.

Who is the guy here who kept insisting Florida was the best team in the country or whatever? lol.

At least we now know that Wichita State is one of the 4 best teams in the country.

I noticed it when it happened but wasn't sure I saw what I saw. Once the Duke guy turned around and cringed I knew it was bad. At that point I changed the channel and didn't start watching it again until the 2nd half.

The image in my head is awful and will have a nightmare about it tonight.

I just looked it up on youtube because I have a slight fascination with gruesome injuries. Holy god, that was jaw droppingly horrible.

I just saw 3 Louisville players laying in the free throw lane and was wondering what was happening. The volume was low, and I was prepping food for dinner. Then they just....showed it. Twice.

We were watching dinner and came into the room when everyone was crying and the medics were out there. So we rewind the DVR to see what all the hubbub was about. The sound of 14 people going "OH [expletive]" at the same time would have been amusing if it wasn't so brutal

Shaun Livingston will forever be the most horrific injury I have ever seen.

We weren't paying close attention and saw a guy down hurt. Rewound the DVR and couldn't tell exactly what happened at first. Then I noticed his leg was bent right above his sock and realized the sock went nowhere near the knee. That's when I thought he snapped his leg.

I was surprised they showed one replay, let alone a second one right after that.

Russ Smith is the first player since 2001 to score 20 points in all four games en route to the final four, when both Jay Williams and Shane Battier did it for Duke.

Yeah you knew it was bad looking at the guys on the floor and the announcers. I'm surprised they showed the replays at all. I was hoping they would just skip showing it again.

not to bring women's basketball into this, just watched the baylor-louisville highlights, and this applies to men's basketball too. but why on earth do teams continue to throw it short on an inbounds pass with less than 4 seconds to play and down by 3 or less? you have to throw it long to have any realistic shot of tying or winning.

Especially at the men's level, I would be teaching guys to throw it at the rim. Someone can just get close and tip it in. If not, you tip it out to a guy that's set up to take a quick jumper. Even the quick jumper off the tip would only run about 1.5 seconds, maybe less.

yesterday was a good day (kevin notwithstanding).

louisville was the best team in the tournament hands down. but they were going about games with a business-like attitude.

now the best team in the tournament is playing with extra motivation. (insert diety here) help the other teams in the tournament.

speaking of which, that picture of the injury that's going around is fake, right

I don't know, I've turned my head away and tapped blindly on my phone until it's deleted every time.

The Baron Davis knee injury last year, or the year before, when he was on the Knicks is up there for me along with the Bogut Elbow/Forearm injury. Bogut might be #1 for me.

The Marcus Lattimore injury was pretty bad. Napoleon McCallum might have been the worst, at least in my memory (I haven't watched it since).

EDIT: I didn't even see raw referenced the same two injuries until after I posted that.
