These competitive balance picks are such BS with the new draft rules.

Yes, I absolutely hate them and I don't understand why the rest of owners signed off on it.

@kileymcd: Blake Anderson didn't make my top 291 but when I was in Mississippi this spring, I heard 4-5 teams were really high on him. Most were not.

I'm not a fan of Gatewood, I think he's too risky and I feel this regime tends to limit picking those types of offensive players.

Pretty damn good.

 

I recall Hunter Renfoe, who was drafted by the Padres in the first round last year, was walked 60 times in around 150 plate appearances and still had over 20 home runs his senior year of high school. Led the nation in homers I believe.
