Lovie isn't Dusty Baker. I don't see him being averse to such a thing. He did come around on the need for throwing the ball, even if he was incapable of finding somebody to run a system.

Lovie is pretty old school, he talked about coming off the bus running, standard coach speak, etc.

I'm not sure how much analysis will factor with the Bills as far as roster composition or whether or not it will factor in play calling etc.

I just wonder if Lovie will have a greater role with the draft and FA rather compared to chicago, which he had a larger role under Angelo.

My guess is Lovie's next job won't give him a huge input on personnel, at least at the outset, with the exception of having the team target the type of player he would like on defense.

With Chip Kelly and his spread offense possibly coming to the NFL, I find so oddly interesting whether or not that couyld work, I loved the June Jones run and shoot, although it never lasted.

The NFL is going to more of a spread style regardless but Kelly's is even more dramatic.

I forget which bowl game I was watching but there 3 HBs in the backfield with the QB in the middle and I found that fascinating as well.

That was the game Gruden and Tirico called, so it must have been Michigan-South Carolina. They were comparing it to the Redskins formations with RGIII.

I read that Chip Kelly was a consultant for the Patriots and helped them with their up-tempo spread which is interesting. I still think his offenses will struggle in the NFL, especially because he can't go as up-tempo as he does in college. Plus Kelly's struggles against elite defenses over the past few years make me pause (Ohio State, Auburn, Stanford, USC and LSU come to mind).

ESPN just reported that SI is reporting that Ray Lewis will sign a contract with ESPN. ESPN says an ESPN spokesman has no comment. Seriously

Is this ESPN's reaction to "breaking" the Sean Payton extension news?

wtf? he hasn't even interviewed with the eagles. i'm sure he WANTS to leave for a nfl head coaching job though, and who can blame him, really. i wouldn't stay on that sinking ship.

anyway, i would think that if chip kelly is interviewing with the bills, browns and eagles that the eagles would probably have the inside track due to financial resources and greater track record the past 10 years. the bills are useless and the browns have been bad for years.

Amid Thursday reports that Nittany Lions head coach Bill O'Brien appears destined to accept an NFL job, a Penn State source indicated that O'Brien's departure is not a foregone conclusion.

Penn State is in the midst of a massive push to keep O'Brien, according to a source, and has received positive indications that he's strongly considering staying.

a source says no more interviews for O'Brien.

they must have promised to cover up one or two future murders.

PSU must be backing up the truck of (blood) money
