That looks a lot better. I was always annoyed that their helmets were not the same color as their jerseys. Like not even really close because of the shinyness.

Retired San Diego Charger and NFL Pro Bowl linebacker Shawne Merriman overdosed Sunday night after ingesting an unspecified combination of alcohol and a drug, sources with knowledge of the case told The Times.

 

The sources would not specify his condition but said Merriman, 29, would survive.

Former NFL star Chad Johnson was sentenced Monday to 30 days in jail for a probation violation in a domestic violence case by a judge who angrily rejected a no-jail plea deal after Johnson playfully slapped his attorney on the backside in court.

Judge is an [expletive], but Chad is a moron. I feel bad for the guy. Never got in trouble, did what a lot of other guys in the NFL have done, drawn attention to himself in a game of uniformity. Deion did it to perfection. Others have as well. Never as well received when he did it, granted not as bad as T.O. and others.

 

Not to excuse anything he's done (hitting his then wife), but it's gotta be rough when you go from a very productive player to out of the league within 2 years, and you still feel you have something left. He doesn't seem to be spiraling out of control though, as he's still pretty positive on Twitter and very entertaining. Just mixing immaturity (as a 35 year old) with bad luck/timing. Hope he gets his [expletive] together, really not a bad guy.

Saw a clip of the CJ thing a little while ago. I really kind of think the judge was out of line. He gave his male lawyer a pat on the backside for a job well done and the judge reacts like that? [expletive].
