2012 - Pat Meyer is in his first season as the Offensive Line Coach for the Montreal Alouettes. Meyer joins the Alouettes after spending the last four seasons with the Colorado State Rams. Most recently, he served as the Rams’ Offensive Coordinator in 2010 and 2011 and as their Offensive Line Coach from 2008 to 2011.

Prior to his stint with Colorado State, the Youngstown, OH native worked with the Florida State Seminoles football’s program as a strength coach in 2007.

Meyer, 40, also spent seven years in the North Carolina State athletic department. After four seasons from 2000 to 2003 as the football team's head strength and conditioning coach, Meyer was named head of the entire athletic department's strength programs, a role he held from 2004 to 2006.

Meyer helped to condition and train five first-round NFL draft choices, including Mario Williams (2006), Philip Rivers (2004), Manny Lawson (2006), Koren Robinson (2001), and John McCargo (2006).

Meyer launched his coaching career at the University of Memphis, where he spent one season as a graduate assistant in 1997. Shortly after, he worked in the Tigers' strength and conditioning department, including five months as the director, from January to May of 2000.

As a player, Meyer was an offensive linemen at Colorado State for four seasons from 1991 to 1994. That same year, he helped the Rams to a Holiday Bowl berth against Michigan.

Once his collegiate career was over, he was signed by the NFL's Arizona Cardinals in the spring of 1995. His career as a player also landed him in the Arena Football League, where he suited up for the Saint Louis Stampede during the 1996 season.

Meyer and his wife, Erin, have three daughters, Christina, Emma and Sophia. He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science from CSU in 1995.

Meyer is the Alouettes OL coach. Bischoff RB coach.

awful resume for bischoff

he was a high school coach that developed some pretty good OL talent, actually. he's not going to be calling plays.

Regardless, that's an awful NFL resume. No NFL experience, no college experience. That type of resume typically gets you a video assistant gig, or "quality control" title. Hope that is all he is.

I doubt he'll be doing more than that. Trestman knows you have to pay your dues.

Caller on radio claimed he sat next to him on flight and told him he was going to be TE coach. Probably less reliable than your wiki source on Hoke, but that is about as high on the totem pole as I could even consider appropriate for that resume.

seems reasonable. couldn't be worse than what we've had.

Say what you will but this guy's resume surely is better than Bischoff:

Mike DeBord is in his third season as Chicago's tight ends coach after being hired on February 2, 2010.

In 2011 under the tutelage of DeBord, Kellen Davis paced the Bears with a career-high five touchdown receptions, which was tied for 12th in the NFL among tight ends and tied for sixth in the NFC at his position. In the Bears 2010 Divisional Playoff victory over Seattle, Davis had a 39-yard touchdown, the longest in franchise postseason history for a tight end.

Prior to his time in Chicago, DeBord spent two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks as an assistant offensive line coach (2008) and tight ends coach (2009) after spending 26 years in the collegiate coaching ranks.

Under DeBord's guidance in 2009, tight end John Carlson led the Seahawks with seven touchdown receptions which ranked seventh in the NFL amongst his position.

DeBord came to Seattle from the University of Michigan where he spent 12 seasons over the course of two stints with the Wolverines working as an offensive line coach (1992-96) adding the duties of assistant head coach from 1995-96, offensive coordinator/tight ends (1997-99 and 2006-07) and special teams/recruiting coordinator (2004-05). As an offensive coordinator, DeBord was named The Sporting News National Assistant Coach of the Year after helping lead the Wolverines to the Associated Press National Championship.

In between his stints with the Wolverines, DeBord was head coach of Central Michigan (2000-03).

DeBord entered the collegiate coaching ranks in 1982 as an offensive line coach for Franklin College, a position he held for two seasons. He also served as an offensive line coach at Fort Hays (1984), Eastern Illinois (1987-88), Ball State (1989), Colorado State (1990-91) and Northwestern (1992). From 1985-86, DeBord was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks/wide receivers at Fort Hays.

DeBord played collegiate football at Manchester College (1974-77) before receiving his Master's degree from Ball State in 1981. He was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 2005. He and his wife, Deb, have two sons, Tyler and Kyle, one daughter-in-law, Carla, and one grandson, Anthony.

Yeah, I know. I saw it then, and wasn't sure it was him. Do any other NFL head coaches have twitter accounts? I dunno, seems like a bad idea.

I've never sought them out but I know Pete Carroll does.
