Also, one source told me Argonauts head coach Scott Milanovich, former Maryland QB, could possibly join #Bears staff.

As what? co-OC and QB coach? what other offensive coach could Bears fill in?

QB/WR/RB/TE, They will likely hire an asst TE coach to assist Kromer who has OC duty.

don't care how many co-OC's we have, trestman is the emperor with playcalling.

After all that, the primary description I have for Trestman is, "wild card bitches!"

This could be a disaster of epic proportions, but at the very least it should be interesting. I don't see a lot of 9-7 in their future, or drafting 19.

not to bring up past disagreements or start an argument, but Trestman heavily deferred to Emery's expertise when it came to discussions about personnel. He talked about relying on Emery to figure out what they already have in place

of course he's relying on emery to figure out what's already in place. where his huge input will be is what they bring in.

let's hope there are fewer CFL players than CFL coaches

Brad Biggs:

Expect Pat Meyer and Andy Bischoff to come from Alouettes to #Bears coaching staff. Team has not talked to Scott Milanovich.

Jay talked to all 3 coaching candidates. Was never asked who he liked or anything like that.

Everything that Jay says he's excited about could be interpreted as a dig at how things have been run previously.

i would like to say that i think it's cool that emery didn't bring in someone from atlanta or kansas city that he had pre-selected. by all accounts, he'd never met trestman before. he's a critical thinker.

Yeah, you balance that against the fact that he brought in a guy so similar to himself, an NFL outsider more or less. They share back to back birthdays and like Criminal Minds. He obviously looked far and wide and thought critically on the process. But I'm not so sure he stuck with that process until the very end.

well, he's going to have some inclinations that he's looking for. he was obviously looking for a guy that values and knows numbers and can work to exploit market inefficiencies. that's what emery was looking for and that's what he thinks he's found.
