I watched that two times last night. Never heard of Dude Perfect before last night, but for being a little fat guy, he can certainly do some impressive athletic feats.

They had a commerical during the NBA Finals a few years ago.

I just heard a rumor that Gunner Kiel is considering transferring to Tennessee. I'm guessing this is just a crap rumor, but do ya'll know of any truth to Kiel even considering transferring?

I haven't heard any new rumors. I think most ND fans assume a QB transfer this spring since Golson has a lock on the starting job for 2-3 years. Kiel makes the most sense as he's probably ready to play. Hendrix is limited by inaccuracy and he's pre-med so he seems less likely to leave. Rees is limited by talent and could very well have a GA position waiting for him when he graduates next year so he seems unlikely too. Golson isn't leaving and we've got another 4* that will sign this year.

 

I hate to lose Kiel, but he seems like the most likely candidate. TN makes sense as it's relatively close to Indy. Is there much on the depth chart?

There's some on the depth chart - we've got Nathan Peterman (rs-fr) who likely will be the starter and Justin Worley (Jr.) is a nice QB who doesn't really fit what Butch Jones likes to do. We also have 4* Riley Ferguson committed and the staff apparently likes him, but my inclination is that Kiel would be better than him. From what I remember about Kiel (very good arm, good mobility) I think he'd have a real chance to start this year if he can get a hardship and may still have a chance to start next year if Peterman doesn't blow up.

 

Apparently the rumor includes Kiel liking Tennessee's new OC Mike Bajakian, so that's the tie to him wanting to come to UT.

5* RB Derrick Green just committed to Michigan over Tennessee. That's a big loss considering he's a guy Dooley had pretty strongly considering us.

 

I'm still waiting on Butch Jones to do something that impresses me.

I don't mean to make Dooley sound like some great recruiter (he wasn't), but even the guys I felt we had a really good shot at (Green, Marquez North) with him here are waffling pretty significantly (or have already committed elsewhere).

 

It's been nice to have guys like Vonn Bell and Carl Lawson start showing some interest in us with Butch here, but both are still longshots and we're losing guys (Green is gone and North is 50/50 at best by recent reports) that were at least UT leans under Dooley.

 

I really want to like this hire, but there's currently nothing to indicate hiring Butch was anything but shooting for steady mediocrity.

Late in Dooley's tenure some of the reports coming out made it sound like he was favoring Tennessee a bit. When Butch took over, though, Michigan got the lead and never gave it up. I could be wrong on which way he was leaning, but it definitely seemed like we lost a decent bit of ground when Butch took over and never could regain it.
