Game 4 - BEARS @ Dallas Cowboys - MNF 7:30 PM

I feel like Cutler has a better chance of being awesome than Romo. Romo is consistent, and safe. Cutler is high risk, high reward.

I don't believe I've ever heard Romo described as consistent or safe.

lol i almost spit up.

Prediction time. 17-6 Cowboys. Cutler is sacked and hit often and throws 2 INTs. These might be the best corners we face all season and they will double up Marshall.

The Cowboys' O-line is probably as horrific as the Bears', and with as good as the Bears' defense is here you're really just going for the pessimism thing uber alles.

I simply refuse to believe that cubbyvirus would be pessimistic about something.

31-17 Bears.

My game preview is on my blog. I wouldn't be surprised to see a decent amount of points scored. Both offenses are better than they've looked the last 2 weeks. Dallas' defense isn't as good as the stats indicate. I think they can be run against and I think their CBs can be beaten by the double move. On the other side, I worry about the Cowboys size/speed combo from their WRs. Should be Tim Jennings toughest matchup of the year, regardless of who he gets. Worried about DJ Moore vs. whoever Dallas puts in the slot also.

I'm going to predict 27-23 Bears, but will admit this is probably as tough a game to call as there has been in the NFL this year.

Yeah, that sounds about right for your prediction.

Yeah that's really unreasonable considering this isnt a better defense then the Packers with a better rush and secondary.

I have to believe that Cutler and the O will snap out of their funk at some point. Bears 31 (with a D or Special Teams TD) Cowboys 24.

As for the game tonight -- I've got Dallas 20, Chicago 13 -- let's pause to appreciate the great start of a player you don't know well, smurfy Bears cornerback Tim Jennings. Playing a clinging and physical style and not missing a snap through the first three games, the 5-foot-8 Jennings leads the NFL with four interceptions. That's good, but tells only a smidgeon of the story.

According to ProFootballFocus.com, Jennings has held opposing quarterbacks to a Revis-like 4.9 passer rating, with just nine completions in 27 passes thrown at him. That'll help tonight, but I don't think it's going to be enough. I think the fact that Chicago is obviously going to spend lots of personnel attention to help out left tackle J'Marcus Webb on the great DeMarcus Ware is going to be a bigger factor here. I trust the Cowboys to protect Tony Romo better than the Bears protect Cutler.

GD I hate primetime football. I cannot stress that enough. I am not looking forward to staying up past midnight to watch this one. I have no faith this week, maybe that's a good sign because usually I can picture a Bears victory. One way or another tomorrow is going to suck. Either I'll be too excited about a win to get much sleep or too annoyed about another loss. I hope no clients need anything tomorrow.

Other than the pessimism about the outcome, I completely understand this. And we have 3 more left. MNF in 3 weeks against Detroit, then SNF against Texans, followed the next week by MNF at SF. That's gonna be a rough two weeks for a lot of reasons.

I honestly think we're going to win this one and am fairly confident going into the game. Reminds me a little of the Eagles MNF game last year.

Bears 27

Cowboys 20

I'm also kind of surprised that almost every pundit is picking the Cowboys and wondering why everyone sees the Cowboys in such a better light than Chicago. Can you honestly say they've looked better than the Bears so far this year?

I love prime time games. I just hate losing in prime time.

NBC has the most beautiful production of any of the broadcasts. love when we're that game.

The Bears getting the short end of the stick with pundits has got to be the least surprising thing in all of sports. Happens over & over again.

Especially with their hatred of Cutler.

Yes, I agree.

With these prime time games, if the game is a blowout either way I'll be OK the next day. If it's a controversial or very close game, I won't get to sleep on time.

Dallas Cowboys outside linebacker Anthony Spencer will not play Monday night against the Chicago Bears after missing practice all week with a strained pectoral, a source said.
