The most egregious thing was the missed offensive PI.

However, I don't see how people are saying it was obviously a pick. The defender had more of the ball, but there's no provision about who "has more of it". If both offense and defense gets the ball, the ball goes to the offense. TOUCHDOWN!

And this might just do it for the refs because there will be bitching. No PAT attempt, huh? Good thing that this doesn't impact the betting line.

It was not simultaneous possession. One hand on a ball being held by two hands by the opposing team is not simultaneous possession.

Took a lot of guts to make that call in the situation. I applaud these officials.

make the CORRECT call you mean

I had the game on mute, and haven't had a chance to read online, are people actually trying to say that was the wrong call? Geez, no limit to a Packers fan's homerism I guess.

Well, so much for my mini-rant on people who say you should always knock the ball down. Although it should have been an interception. It looked like Tate just put his arm in after the defender caught it. It never looked like Tate had any kind of possession until they were both on the ground.

Tate's hand on the ball is between the ball and the chest. Thats why it is a TD

i had forgotten how much of a homer you are from back in 2006

Lucky enuff that I never forgot how much of a JackA** you always are. Next time watch Russell Wilson before making dumb remarks and also read this thread where I am being fair to what happened despite the ludicrious of the game.

Dude, Flynn is easily a better option for your team this year. EASILY. Wilson is making one read and then running around like a chicken with his head cut off and then throwing it out of bounds. He can't even stay in a clean pocket. I don't want your team to piss away this awesome defense.

And you're the one trying to defend that as a catch for Tate, not me. You're telling me I'm making dumb remarks?

nice..that's gonna cost him some money most likely.

Fans or players should pool together and pay it then. He's 100% right.

The calls looked legit to me. Any Green Bay fan crying about that game is just looking for excuses. Man up and get over it. :good:

They did still give up 9 sacks.

On a personal note, it's pretty fun that the Packers get a loss that should have been a win.

BUT -- next week, it could be us. This league has lost its foundation. Who are these owners? One of these morons needs to speak up and defend their decision to throw the entire national pastime into chaos. They owe all of us an explanation. What the SAM HELL is going on, and how did you let it get this bad??!!?

I am 98% certain that the real refs will be back on Thursday.

eh, i doubt it

No one ever made it clear if they can overturn that on the replay, if anything, everyone has said that they couldn't. The play was a tough call in live action and it's possible that they saw that they were wrong on the replay but at that point they were stuck. They said the call was confirmed but these guys have been messing up the wording of calls all week long.

Still a shitty way to lose but it's possible that it wasn't as bad as it's been made out to be.

Underrated in this thread is Soul's moral outrage at the NFL and how it is ruining the fabric of American culture.

Hah! :hello:

Well to be honest I think we all know Green Bay loves the sack.

geez hadnt seen the awful PI and roughing the passer calls. this season shouldn't count.

there was a terrible PI call against seattle that allowed GB to score their TD. as well as 2-3 missed holds.

That roughing call was the worst of all of them, I thought. Just asinine.

Wait til the Lions get hosed and Schwantz murders one of the replacement officials with his headset.

ETA: Lets not forget how the Seattle d-line beat the GB o-line like they owed them money.

Watching it again, the white ref out of the corner of his eye sees the black ref throw his hands straight up to signal stop the clock. I think whitey thought he was signaling touchdown so he threw his hands up in the TD motion. And it stuck.

If that is true, that is unbelievable. So poorly communicated peer pressure lost the Packers the game??
