As you all would imagine, no Rizzo today for Iowa after yesterday's minor injury. But also no Brett Jackson in the lineup after yesterday's 3Ks swinging. Vitters is also not in the field, but is in the lineup at DH.

Javi is 1 for 1 with an RBI

2-2. :D

Yep, just to clarify he's 2/2 with a single and a HR. He had an .850 OPS in A coming into tonight. So yea.

That kid is 19! Let me tell you, that is the kind of talent that can bring a franchise back from dead.

Three home runs and the shortest of them is probably 410 feet.

To put Bryce Harper in perspective...he's 19, too.

Go walk my dog, come back and see 5 posts in here......Bet my wife a dinner at Bonefish that Baez did something good. She tells me I'm a geek for following this stuff and I can take her to Bonefish for even mentioning it. But I was right. [expletive] Yeah!

Is this a reference to something or are you really talking like that?

Yeah, Harper is 46 days older than Baez.

Baez got HBP in his next AB. Wonder if it was random or if he watched his bomb a little too long.

If they want to boost his OBP by hitting him all the time, that's fine as long as he doesn't get hurt.

The Chief's pitchers need to drill someone. Regardless of how long Baez watched his HR, you can't let your teammate keep getting drilled. Eventually he will get hurt, although you'd hope he'd learn his lesson before then.

He'll do whatever the [expletive] he wants.

Austin Reed's quietly put together a decent-solid season in the pen so far.

I sometimes forget how young Geiger is. He's still mildly intriguing, if only because of the weak 3rd base depth in the system, and the fact that he has some pop in the bat. Then again, like Candelario, he might not stick at 3rd if he even makes it up the ladder.

look i don't know how long he watched his home run or if this had anything to do with that, but if a guy is acting like an asshat then it's not really the job of his teammates to perpetuate a beanball war to protect him.
