Hence why I said some. The pass to Omer was idiotic beyond belief and I'll never quite forgive him for that [expletive].

Didn't that stupid pass just speed up the recovery time for everyone having offseason surgeries, though? Pretending the Bulls could have gotten past the Celtics in round 2, and then maybe a 5 or 6 game series in the ECF, that's nearly another month of play.

The only players that I would think have a chance to miss time next season due to injuries are Deng and Rose and both of those guys would miss time regardless of whether we ended when we did or played into late May.

Probably true, in retrospect.

I was pretty upset with him when it happened though.

deng isn't having his surgery until the after the olympics and rose already has his, so it's completely irrelevant

Noah most probably would have ended up playing on an ankle he shouldn't.

Which would almost certainly heal in time for next year

But didn't Rose's surgery take place once the season was over? Was he putting it off so that he wouldn't miss any games? If he was, then he potentially shaved an extra month of recovery time.

No, the plan the whole time was to take 1-2 weeks after the injury before surgery.

Miss any games? You mean like watching them on the bench?

They don't want to operate so acutely after the injury because they want the inflammation to go down.

If the Heat lose, maybe people will feel a little better about the Bulls. The Bulls lost 2 of their top 3 players. The Heat lost their 3rd best player and they look horrible. OKC is going to be very tough for a while, though.

It would make me 2 depressed. 1 because I'm not a big fan of Indiana and 2 because it makes it clear that the Bulls had a good shot of winning the title if the entire team didn't get injured.

Luol Deng made the All-Defensive 2nd team.

Noah got 14 2nd team votes. Rose got 1 vote for the 2nd team.

And somehow, hilariously, Carlos Boozer got a 2nd team vote!!

That had to have been a joke. I mean who in their right mind could vote for Carlos Boozer as one of the 10 best defenders in the NBA?

He's not even one of the 10 best defenders on the Bulls.

I just got my season ticket renewal form this week. If they didn't already have 900 dollars of my money I would have probably cancelled them.

Next year is just going to be a bummer I think. The playoffs should be fun though with D-Rose hopefully somewhat himself by then. Just sign kirk hinrich to be the point for more than half the season and play with the team as is. The year after drop Boozer and bring over Mirotic. What sucks the most is that a majority of our bench players that make us great will be out of contract after next season. We may have a better starting 5 but our bench could be a weakness in a few years.

Almost definitely at least one, and probably two, of Brewer, Watson, and Korver will be gone before the season starts. And I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. We know what those guys do in the playoffs when it really matters, and when the playoffs roll around depth means a lot less than it does in the regular season.

I just renewed my season tickets as well. It's going to be tough to get rid of some of those early season games.

It's been speculated that all 3 of those guys will not be retained this offseason. The Bulls seem to have decided that they want to retain Asik and keep the Bulls superior front court depth and hope that it limits the dropoff of play from the bench.

The more I think about it, it might not hurt the team as much as it seems. No doubt it will hurt, but if you can sign a backup PG for 2.5 million like Hinrich or Andre Miller, it might be an upgrade over Watson. Jimmy Butler will replace Brewer and the Bulls will likely take a great shooter with their 1st round pick to try to replace some of Korver's value

My season ticket invoice is sitting on the counter, and every time I walk past, it saddens me.

Anybody want to pay it for me?

Also, I hadn't realized there were a decent number of Bulls STH here.

Yep, just have Jimmy Butler become a great defender, have Andre Miller take a contract for less money than CJ Watson got and draft a great shooter with the 30th pick. Shouldn't be a problem.
