If we miss Deng for the first half, Rose for the first 2/3 of the season and are without Korver, Brewer, and Watson, I certainly think the Lottery is a possibility. Granted, the timetables are obviously a guess on how long those guys will be out.

if rose comes back from this injury and eventually wins a title, he might be the most loved chicago athlete of all time

Seriously, were you not alive for Jordan? Payton?

i said most loved. the difference is that rose is from chicago. that alone gets him a certain type of love that guys like sosa/jordan couldn't get. that and the fact that he would have won the title after coming back from a completely devastating injury, and yea..... i think he would be special to the city in a way that other guys weren't.

Well, I'm just one guy, but I'm from Chicago and Rose would basically have to be godlike if he's gonna even sniff pulling rank on someone like Jordan.

i just think seeing rose come back from that injury and leading his team to a title would be more satisfying and meaningful than any of the jordan wins, and i was basically obsessed with michael jordan growing up.

Man, I don't know; in hindsight those Jordan-lead Bulls teams were like watching the Justice League of basketball. I'll take that over eking out a championship any day.

“I think Carlos had a very productive year,” Forman said. “You look back, he’s the only guy on our team that played every game and practiced every day on a team that won more games than anybody in the NBA. He was our second leading scorer and our second leading rebounder. We’re looking forward to Carlos continuing to make progress. I know the last game clouds it a little bit, but he was very productive in the games before that. Even in that last game, in 27 minutes, he had 13 boards. I anticipate Carlos being with us and having another productive year next season.

“We’re happy Carlos Boozer is here and we like the core of the team that we have under contract.”

He would have to walk on water and maybe beat the Green Bay Packers a few times to surpass MJ in love.

Already battling lingering elbow and ankle issues, Watson underwent surgery on both feet Thursday morning after the team kept quiet the guard's painful plantar fasciitis that he played through.

He kind of needs to feel that way about him.

I knew that he was pretty banged up. He had a horrible 2nd half and pathetically bad playoff series. I don't know how much that can be attributred to the plantar fasciitis or the shoulder injury, or whatever injuries he had, but I'm willing to excuse some of the poor play.

His foot injury didn't make him pass the ball to Omer at the end of game 6.

No, but the '6ers were in his face all series and he showed no ability to get by the defender whatsoever. With a healthy foot you would think he'd have much more quickness and ability to be more of a factor on offense. With a decent offense the Bulls win that series pretty easily and it doesn't come down to that final play.

There were so many possessions where he just held the ball until there were a few seconds left on the clock. It's hard to score when that happens.

Yeah, my point was that he made some really poor decisions that had little do with any injury. Obviously there was some affects that the injury did have on his game. He's had a few moments, but I've never been a big CJ fan.

Hence why I said some. The pass to Omer was idiotic beyond belief and I'll never quite forgive him for that [expletive].

Didn't that stupid pass just speed up the recovery time for everyone having offseason surgeries, though? Pretending the Bulls could have gotten past the Celtics in round 2, and then maybe a 5 or 6 game series in the ECF, that's nearly another month of play.

Probably true, in retrospect.

I was pretty upset with him when it happened though.
