Guh, that would have been huge

Did they almost get a double play on the lineout?

Castro lost a footrace to the bag by a half step.

Gameday has Marmol getting really, really screwed on some of these calls.

Squeezing a guy with no control? Great!

As Len and Bob said, the umpire is influenced by the fact he's wild. A borderline pitch is probably going to be called a ball because the ump knowing how bad his control is. The umps don't give him credit for being able to hit the corners. I dont know if that makes any sense. It sounded better coming from Len.

Wow, I really thought Dale Sveum would be different. Same meathead philosophy as every other manager, though.

what in the [expletive] are you talking about?

What philosophy is that?

The one where apparently you don't give the guy your paying $10 million a year to any chances to get himself together.

I can understand that but also I'm listening on the radio and Pat & Keith did not act outraged by any of those calls...not that they can really tell either from the radio booth.

Well Marmol got out of it! Hopefully that can be some kind of turning point for him.

So Marmol walks 2 guys in which he throws 3 total pitches outside the zone, gives up a hard hit out, then K's two guys. I'll take it.
