I don't get the Miami love. As an Illinois fan, Miami was the one team I desperately wanted the Illini in the same pod with among the top 2 seeds.

I got Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois and Indiana in the elite 8. IU and Michigan State in the Final Four and Michigan State winning it all. I hope I'm not overrating the Big 10 here.

NC State has the talent to give IU a run. One thing in IU's favor is NC State's defense is pretty bad. Not that probably matters much, but they played last year in the big10/ACC challenge.

 

Can't figure out if Syracuse would be a good potential matchup or not. Have looked like crap for much of the last month.

Yes, they avoided the teams I was most afraid of early on (obviously, this is the tournament so crazy stuff happens regardless . . . but match-ups matter). They could have, just based seedings, Pittsburgh as the No. 8 and St. Louis (eek) or even Kansas State in the Sweet Sixteen. That would have been much worse.

 

As for NC State, assuming they beat Temple, they certainly have the talent to play with IU (though they've only beaten two tournament teams, Duke and North Carolina, all year). Their frontline could cause issues. But they play bad defense and try to outscore opponents. I'll take my chances against such teams.

 

I have Indianapolis tickets too (and Dayton). Will still go unless someone offers me an insane amount. Could potentially have Louisville, Michigan State, and Duke there. The last time the regional was in Indianapolis, Michigan State beat Louisville in the Elite Eight.
