Because Crean wanted to match up small. You never play without a big in a tie game late if u are capable of having one on the floor. The winning basket was exactly why. Need a big help defender at the rim to alter the shot.

Iowa beat UNI by 7 today in Des Moines. Marble had 30, Gesell had 23.

 

Should go into Big Ten play at 11-2 with two top 50-100 wins (one away from home) and both losses against top 50-100 teams away from home. Just get 9 Big Ten wins and I'll be a happy man.

I have to say, I love it when the B1G is strong. But I really, really enjoyed having Indiana and Iowa getting stomped.

 

Is there some way we can go back to that with the rest of the teams being strong?

I hate that Illinois has about 3 conference games where I feel comfortable they'll win it.

Wow your schedule is very favorable. UM, OSU, MSU, and IL as your 1 gamers. And you get the 2 lesser teams of that group at home.

There's really only 4 games that I think we can't win at all and those are the road games @ Michigan, Indiana, Ohio State and Minnesota. It's a nice change from the last few years. Go 9-5 in the other 14 and they are .500.
