my god, that was such a brutal outing by wood.

 

Mid season form. But he was brought back because he's such a good guy in the clubhouse. He's a legend.

Why does pitch f/x show strike 3 called to Byrd nearly hitting the plate?

 

Because it's very inaccurate? It crossed at the knees.

It's been very good today, just weird for that last AB.

I really think I may have to pay more attention to the Iowa Cubs this year than the club playing at Wrigley. Boy, I already feel like I usually do in August...

Meh, not as interested in W/L this year than I am about individual results. I'll have to take a look at the boxscore and see if there's anything worth salvaging from this game.

 

At least the new video board looks nice :)

Ian Stewart killed one in the 9th. He just needed to kill it about a foot farther.
