Like most here I am not expecting a lot of victories this year but that was horrible. The at bat by Jeff Baker in the 9th inning was disgusting.

The one where he crushed the low fastball was nice. It wasn't even that much of a hanger, but he was able to get under it nicely.

Who the hell is Shawn Camp? Granted I didnt pay much attention to spring training, but I usually have at least heard of people who are on the active roster.

Tough loss. Dempster pitched much better than I expected. And from the moment the schedule was released, I figured Strasburg would blow Wood's strikeout game out of the water.

 

That being said, I'm very glad baseball is back. And of course, we don't play tomorrow. Can't wait until Saturday.

How should it have been 3 outs. Soriano beat the throw at 2nd regardless of the wild throw and a double play wasn't being turned on that play. So the only play was at first. So i don't see how it could've resulted in a combined 3 outs in the first two at bats.

Run of the mill journeyman middle reliever, has been with Royals, Rays, and Jays since 2004, was pretty good in 2010. First crack at the Nl, so there's that.
