I'd take Fletcher Cox personally. I'm not a big enough fan of Barron to take him here and I really like Cox as an interior rusher.

Next 3 picks:

15. Eagles (Truffle)

16. Jets (PriortoTheoIhadWood)

17. Bengals (davell)

Again, if anybody isn't sure they'll be available to make the pick, shoot me a PM with your top 3 choices.

Well, war room has been silent all day, so I will go ahead and make the pick. As much as I am intrigued by Brockers and what he may become, Cox was much more disruptive as a player in college.

With their first pick in the 2012 amateur draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Fletcher Cox, DT Mississippi State.

Sorry, I would have agreed with this pick anyway. I thought about not taking Coples, to see if he slid to here lol

So, if he misses his pick, is one assigned or does this become a Viking situation and he starts to fall, while we pick?

We'll take suggestions and the Eagles get assigned whoever the majority opinion is.

Thoughts on this pick? Some mock draft selections for the Eagles:

Michael Floyd

Fletcher Cox

Quinton Coples

Floyd is still on the board here and would be a replacement for DeSean Jackson. Cox and Coples are off the board, but guys like Brockers, Perry, and Mercilus are still available.

As much as I'd love Floyd to fall to the Bears, if he's sitting here, Philly is going to give him a long look.

Yeah, my thoughts as well. I'm open to alternate opinions, but if Truffle doesn't make the pick in the next 30 minutes, I'll go with Floyd to the Eagles.

Yeah, I shot you a PM sometime this afternoon thinking maybe you just hadn't gotten one.

The Jets and PriortoTheoIhadWood are on the clock. I'll PM him. Next 3 picks:

17. Bengals (davell)

18. Chargers (rawaction)

19. Bears (Raisin, et al)

Jets select Alabama S/DB Mark Barron.

I really like Nick Perry as a prospect, but Barron is the best safey in this draft by miles and miles. Plug him in with Landry and the Jete have the best set of DB talent in the NFL no contest. Almost logged 40 starts in Nick Saban's D and has been arguably their best DB in his 3 starting seasons. No safety in this class coordinates and communicates with the other DBs better, no one has the physicality + the experience + the success, and few have actually made as many plays against the pass than him. I think he's an 8+ year starter in his league and in the quality defenses. Plus, I think on skill alone he's one of the 15 or 20 best players in this draft. The 4.55 while not 100% pretty much clinched it, as did the 38" vert and something else I'm forgetting. Plus, Rex Ryan gets/likes his DBs because it's all about stopping the pass now. They know how to stop the run, but the way they lost those two AFCCGs (Colts passing in the 2nd half, Steelers running in the first half) and last year's dropoff (slight) on D can be explained by the safety play/talent on the roster. Pretty much the ideal pick here even on draft day for me.

Revis

Cromartie

Wilson

Strickland/Some other guy

Barron

Landry

Smith

Leonhard

Other choices I could have made: Floyd (might have taken him too), Upshaw, Glenn

raw gave me a list of 3 players, all DE/OLB types and his top choice is still on the board.

Thus, the Chargers select Whitney Mercilus from Illinois. The Bears and their war room are now on the clock. I'll PM Raisin.

Two of my top 5 players for the Titans have gone off the board today (Kirkpatrick and Mercilus).

Next 3 picks:

20. Titans (dew, PCP)

21. Bengals (davell)

22. Browns (gorbs27)

Again, if anybody isn't sure they'll be available to make the pick, shoot me a PM with your top 4 choices.

For the Bears, I'm thinking Kendall Wright or Nick Perry. Couldn't go wrong with either. Really don't want Jon Martin. I wouldn't cry about Stephon Gilmore, but I think the depth at CB is better than at DE.

I think the Bears should take Michael Fl...oh, darn. Well, then they should probably just draft Whitney Mercil...well, crap. BPA, then.

Sorry, had a nasty case of stomach flu today.

I'd vote Nick Perry over Kendall Wright.
