Quick, find the rooftops who didn't sell to Ricketts. Hint, look beyond every single sign

Which rooftops in this photo did sell to Ricketts?

the one to the right of the jumbotron

Didn't they also buy the ones above the Wrigley Field sign in right center?

lol, is that Schierholtz on the RF ribbon board v. Wainwright?

Looking at that picture got me thinking...could the rooftops build higher to see over the new signage or are there ordinances preventing additional height on those buildings?

They would have to build them a LOT higher to see over those signs.

Maybe it depends on how much structural reinforcement went into retrofitting the buildings when the bleachers were first added. Doubt it'd be cost-effective but...

There are probably ordinances about height as well. It's a big deal to go from 3-4 stories to even 6-7, and that is if you are doing it for housing purposes. For the ability to run a rooftop drinking business? That's probably not going to fly, without the proper allies in city hall.

Wrigley rooftops' move to halt Cubs construction on the docket here in federal court. Cubs prez Crane Kenney on hand.

Cubs, rooftops attorneys stated cases to Judge Kendall. She tabled it for 1 hour to deal w/ other cases, then will rule on restraining order

Good read on all of it from Brett.

Julie Dicaro is saying the longer that the judge takes, the worse it is for the Cubs.

That may well be but from what I recall Julie DiCaro isn't great at things so I wouldn't read much into it.

Brett might have an explanation as to why it's taking long, though.

So is there a real chance that the Cubs would be forced to halt construction?

I mean, if there wasn't, they wouldn't have had a hearing.

This is a federal court so I doubt there's much the Cubs/Rahm can do to make it go through. I still doubt they have much of a case to issue the TRO on merit.

@DannyEcker Breaking: Judge denies rooftops' request for temporary restraining order on Wrigley Field OF signage.
