  1. Maybe Pace can rustle up Kaepernick's number from somewhere...
  2. Good call. I’ll need a hand-size comparison.
  3. Oh, Browns. No.
  4. It’s been said before but I’ll say it again...that sig makes each of your posts 1000x more entertaining. I laugh every time.
  5. What I noticed about Cohen yesterday was how much trouble defenders had at getting him to go down. I noticed more than one occasion where a defender seemed to need to noticeably reach down or crouch down to get a good hold on Cohen. Granted, there will a couple times where Cohen got lit up by a hit but I think that comes with the territory of being a small RB. I like the idea that Cohen's size makes for occasional awkward tackling by defenders.
  6. I wonder if a Gray for Russell trade would be offered or considered? The domestic violence allegations make me wonder if Theo and Jed want to get Addy away from the team, if the return is right. Oakland might be an interesting landing spot for him.
  7. My 8-year-old son did his best to make it through the entire game but fell asleep once the rain delay started. I woke him up after the Cubs scored in the 10th and we sat side-by-side in a darkened living room, the only illumination coming from the TV. He maintained faith in the Cubs through the entire game. I tried to stop him multiple times during the game from saying the Cubs were going to win. No jinxes, I insisted. But he didn't care about any jinxes or curses. Those superstitions mean nothing to him - his Cubs experience is primarily good memories. I'm both happy for him and envious of him. What a time to start growing up a Cubs fan!
  8. Definitely worth reading, IMO. Nothing earth-shattering, but a pretty good overview of the process of building the Cubs since Theo was hired.
  9. I like sticking it to the Pirates but I wish it didn't make my Cardinal fan friends so happy...
  10. I'm hoping this shifts Heyward back to RF with a LF platoon of Schwarber/Soler.
  11. Close, David. You used the wrong spelling of "you're", though. That thread was awesome.
  12. A Murton curtain call.
  13. Thanks, Tim!
  14. I'm looking forward to the return of the button in the lower right-hand corner that flies me back to the top of each page. If that's coming. :-)
  15. B2B trades were based mainly on the fact that we had few prospects with any real value, and couldn't afford to part with the ones we had. No need for that type of straw grasping anymore. And it feels good. I miss B2B trade proposals. Despite the fact that many on here ridiculed them, they were entertaining to consider. Regardless of how realistic they were.
  16. How the hell has it been 12 years since our last NLCS???? Feels awesome to be back! This team has such a different feel from that 03 team. I love watching them play and not dreading having any particular part of our lineup come to bat. Woooooo!!!!!
  17. Truth. I shaved mine a year ago while in Vegas and haven't looked back. It's great.
  18. Maybe it depends on how much structural reinforcement went into retrofitting the buildings when the bleachers were first added. Doubt it'd be cost-effective but...
  19. Looking at that picture got me thinking...could the rooftops build higher to see over the new signage or are there ordinances preventing additional height on those buildings?
  20. Because this is actually kind of fun...would a mod want to spin some of this thread off into the socil forum for a lurker thread? I'm curious how many of us would pop in and say, "Hi" if there's a dedicated thread.
  21. feels the need to post to see how many posts I have Nope, not 200 posts. 10 years, check. And yeah, I guess it is kind of strange to feel like I know the regular posters so well and yet remain in the shadows. :-)
  22. And yet here we are tasked with ranking him. I'll take Olt at 10 as the near-MLB ready, former Rangers high prospect who hopefully has his vision problems corrected.
