Please not the Broncos. I don't want to have to root against him.

See I think it'd be hilarious when Peyton goes to Denver. The Tebow-maniacs are gonna lose their freaking minds, and will be entertaining as hell.

I heard the Jags are looking for fans.

What kind of trade value does Tim Tebow have though? Cuz the Broncos could just keep him as a backup. Although they have Quinn too.

Goes without saying that I'm a huge Clark fan and hope he does great wherever he goes. But he was really bad last year.

How much of that was Clark being really bad now and how much of that was the Painter/Orlovsky QB duo, I wonder?

It certainly didn't help. However, I don't think that was the sole problem. Clark was tied for seventh in the NFL with nine drops. Reggie Wayne and Pierre Garcon still were able to have good years with Painter/Orlovsky. I'm not saying Clark is incapable of playing well in the future, but I'd be shocked if his days as a top-level tight end weren't over.

How much of Clark's entire career was just being lucky enough to have a HOFer throwing to him?

That's a difficult question. Obviously, it helped a lot, Manning made everyone on the Colts look better than they were. That's not to say Clark wasn't a very talented player, he was. I don't really mean to have this conversation again, but for years Colts fans had been saying that the overall talent level on the team wasn't that high and that Manning made everything go. I think last year helped show how good Manning actually was . . . and I hope the next couple years do the same wherever he goes (now I'll go cry in the corner again).

Yeah, it's a difficult question because it's hard to tell what the value of those players were in their prime. You can't just look at the effect of last year and project that back to previous years.

You'll get no sympathy from me -- the Colts are the luckiest damn QB draft team in history. :)

I allmost said Green Bay, but I guess Favre wasn't drafted by them.

That's the thing. Jacksonville is probably the only team in the NFL that would look at him as their building block. So why would they give up something of value for him since they surely know this too?

I'm not really sure about that. It's starting to sound like the Jags actually want him -- butts in seats would be the motivator IMO.

That would be funny if Tebow sat the bench, especially if Peyton didn't light it up immediately.

That's true and I don't expect sympathy. If you agree that John Elway, Peyton Manning, and Andrew Luck are the three best quarterback prospects in recent memory, it's shocking that the Colts will have drafted all three (obviously the Colts had no luck with drafting Elway, but still).

It's just very difficult to see Manning in free agency and about to play for another team -- that's not necessarily a complaint, I understand why, but fandom isn't always rational. For me, the only thing somewhat comparable is Bob Knight being fired, but he was a jerk; Manning has done nothing wrong -- and pretty much saved pro football in Indiana, was the proximate cause for the new stadium, and thus the recent Super Bowl hosting. Milk that's already spilled, I know.

the texans just cut their top-10 RT, their top OG may be leaving town, mario williams is gone......i don't get it.

Maybe it's a last ditch effort to get funds for Mario Williams (or Chris Myers).

i meant their center (who is probably the best in the game) rather than their OG.

Yeah, I figured as much. That's Chris Myers.

Bud Adams' plane was seen landing in Nashville and then it took off again supposedly headed to Raleigh-Durham, where Peyton has been working out. If all that is true, sounds like Bud picked up Munchak/other Titans coaches and is headed to meet with Peyton.

Since it appears we had interest in Mario Williams before Bud decided he wanted Peyton, we better get Peyton. I still think we should have as good a shot as anybody.

The moves the Dolphins make never cease to perplex me. Trade 2 2nds for Brandon Marshall...trade him away for 2 3rds 2 years later, while trying to sign a new quarterback.
