Hell, I'll just recap it. Olsen was at a Jay Fiedler football camp as a freshman in high school and Seau was there. He challenged anyone to a one on one. Olsen's buddies nominated him because he was a big kid. Olsen was scared to death. Seau gave him a quick wink and let Olsen pancake him. Then he sold it too. Whole camp cheered on Olsen, who was still just a chubby kid who didn't even know if he liked football at that point.

Good for Vilma.

lol. Ok. Do you know something we don't?

At first I was irritated by it, but I'm kind of tired of Goodell being able to do whatever he wants because he's the big bad comish. Why should I be concerned as a Bears fan that Goodell is going to suspend Marshall even though he did nothing wrong according to the police? Goodell is judge, jury, and executioner. Do I think Vilma did it? Hell yes. But let's see some evidence.

Are you arguing that he should be showing evidence to the accused, or to the public? I can understand the former, but I don't think Goodell needs to show jack to the public.

To the accused at least. I don't think the public needs to know all the details. The fact that he won't provide evidence to the 'guilty' party and his legal representation is the especially concerning part.

I'm actually looking forward to Goodell actually having the evidence to make Vilma look foolish for filing the lawsuit to begin with. I think Vilma's argument is gonna be that he said he'd pay for a guy to go down, but that he was just speaking hyperbolically and never intended to actually pay out. But I don't think that's gonna be enough to prove defamation.

Me too, I hope they stick it to him. I've never liked Vilma and I think he's guilty. I think he's bluffing and if Goodell can start providing evidence this won't go to court, but who knows. What happens if Vilma wins though? Yikes, that will be a mess.

Apparently Schiano told Kellen Winslow that he's either going to be traded or cut, largely because Winslow has been working out on his own instead of with the team.

Veteran tight end Kellen Winslow told Sirius NFL Radio on Monday morning that he has been told by the Buccaneers that his services no longer are required. Winslow said team officials said they will try to trade him.

I'm just afraid that the NFL will have to reveal their sources in order to defend themselves, which of course will be devastating for the NFL if they need players to help with any future investigations.

There’s been a lot of talk about the Pro Bowl being on its last legs, but a report in the New Orleans Times-Picayune suggests that there could be a game in 2013 after all.

And it also suggests that the game could be in New Orleans the week before the Super Bowl. According to Nakia Hogan of the Times-Picayune, league sources are saying that New Orleans is a “leading candidate” to host the game in the event that it is played. When the Super Bowl was in Miami in 2010, the Pro Bowl was played there as well and it was a much more successful game than this year’s unwatchable contest.

If it didn't involve some kid getting throat grabbed, I'd absolutely love this story....

Former NFL kicker Mike Vanderjagt has been suspended from his middle school coaching job after he was accused of grabbing and screaming at a student, apparently because the child taunted Vanderjagt over his missed field goal in the Colts’ loss to the Steelers in the 2005 playoffs.

The Naples News reports that Vanderjagt is a part-time coach at a middle school in Marco Island, Florida, but that he was suspended from that position when the school’s dean of students called the police to say that Vanderjagt had been witnessed grabbing a student by the throat. According to the police report, a student was taunting Vanderjagt by yelling “wide left, wide left,” and Vanderjagt walked up to him, grabbed him by the throat and started cursing at him. Both the student involved (who apparently didn’t realize that Vanderjagt’s miss against the Steelers was actually wide right) and another student who witnessed the incident told police the same story.

F that. It's still funny. Middle school kids are A-holes and most deserve to be choked.

Welp, nice try with that lawsuit Vilma. Goodell and the NFL just played their trump card

The NFL has a copy of a "ledger" that was kept detailing weekly earnings for players in the New Orleans Saints bounty system, according to two sources with knowledge of the investigation.

The ledger, which shows both money earned for "cart-offs" and "whacks" and deducted for "mental errors," also points to the fact that players were told on a week-by-week basis of their performance.

Ex-Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is at the center of the bounty scandal investigation. (AP)According to sources, the NFL showed portions of the ledger during meetings with some of those who have been investigated in the scandal.

"The players clearly knew what was going each week with the payments," a source told Yahoo! Sports. In fact, multiple sources admitted that Saints defensive players would regularly encourage teammates to put money earned from the bounty system back into the pool. It's unclear if that was to increase the potential winnings or eventually use the money for some other purpose.
