Is Phil Loadholt as big in person as he appears on TV?

Bigger. He is a very large individual, and it's not fat or anything, it's like if you clicked magnify on a normal person.

I for one am glad TO is back. Not only is he fun to watch, but the NFL is a more lively place with him in it.

I think too that he'll be a model citizen at this point in his career.

I don't agree with giving his "return" any headlines. He hasn't been a difference maker in a long time now.

He might not been a difference maker, but he was pretty darn good in 2010 with the Bengals (yes, I know it's before his injury and he hasn't been in the NFL since then). Probably the best age 37 season (according to Pro-Football Reference) for a WR. Then again, there aren't many WRs who made it to their age 37 season and only a handful who did something at that age.

You could make a case that he was a difference maker that year (I don't think so, but you "could"). He had 72 receptions for 983 yards and 9 TDs in 14 games (11 starts). If you go by his game logs, his #s were actually in 13 games and his last game was 1 catch for 22 yards so I'm not sure if he got hurt in that game or not. So had he played the last 3 games and kept the pace or close to it.. his line would've end up something like 85 receptions for 1200 yards and 11 TDs. That's legit Pro Bowl #s right there and top 10 WRs in the NFL that season.

Judge thinks process was unfair, punishment excessive, and that RG did not have the power to discipline in these cases.

But, judge thinks that players still have to exhaust appeal pending of Prof Burbank's arbitration decision.

Judge- if I can find a way to legally do it, I will rule in Vilma's favor.

Before the who dat nation start celebrating, still a long way to go in hearing. NFL waiting to respond.

More good news for Vilma-judge believes that Vilma has show irreparable harm. Key prong in getting injunctive relief.

So does Goodell really not have much evidence or does he not want to give away his source? I still don't know how Vilma gets out of this. It was collectively bargained that he can be punished any way the commissioner wants right?

@mortreport: Cedric Benson is in Green Bay, expected to sign with Packers, per sources

That's interesting.

He's pretty much the opposite of a "Packer guy" but their backfield is brutal.

The Commissioner's authority under the CBA isn't the immediate matter before the judge. More at issue here is the defamation suit. Vilma is arguing that Goodell has sullied his good name with no evidence. The judge can rule that this case can go forward, and can also rule that Vilma can rejoin the team until it's all settled. She has scolded both sides for their handling of the situation, but is strongly leaning in favor of Vilma. She has no desire to rule in the case whatsoever and this explains the delay, hoping that a settlement can be reached over the weekend. I am good friends with someone who is present in every session who tells me that with no settlement, Vilma could rejoin the team on Tuesday.

IMO, Goodell's hard evidence must be pretty flimsy if he isn't offering anything even now.

Yeah, I don't know if his antics will go over well, but hopefully he can behave and give us at least an average running game.

Looks like Chad Johnson got arrested, after a domestic dispute started by him finding condoms that evidently weren't his. So Hard Knocks has a story now anyway.

The larger issue is the fact that players must utilize the court system for relief because the NFL does not provide an adequate system of judication.

Frankly, our judges have much more important matters to attend to than NFL arbitration.

New report now says they were Chad's condoms, not his wife's.

Since when do NFL players use condoms?

First person Chad Johnson ruled out in this caper was Antonio Cromartie.
