Clearly the Celtics are the true villains in all of this.

Yep. And by the "I'll blame anyone remotely associated with this" principle, it's SSR's fault.

Holy crap, dude has lost it.

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS HIS SECOND"

Yeah ok. Maybe if you didn't get him Antwan Jamison, Delonte West, Larry Hughes and Mo Williams he would of stayed.

Oh come on.

well, it was fun trolling lebron lovers for a while. all good things come to an end.

seriously, udonis haslem, though

Yeah, I can actually deal with Lebron, Wade and Bosh getting a title. But the "cling ons" actually bug me a bit more. Shane Battier gets a title? Ugh.

You do know that wasn't a real open letter from Dan Gilbert right?

Nice defense OKC good lord [expletive] guard somebody

NO [expletive]. most frustrating part of the series. How can a team reach the finals and not only allow 20 wide-open 3-pt attempts per game but ALSO allow 20 wide-open layups per game? Half of Miami's possessions ended with at least four thunder defenders wandering around looking at each other like who was supposed to guard that guy?

shockingly, we still could have won at least the first three games. it probably would have been the worst finals performance by a winning team in history.

It was frustrating that Brooks wouldn't adjust and put Durant back on LeBron. It was a neat idea to put Sefolosha/Harden on him during the first half of Game 4 to keep Durant out of foul trouble.

But LeBron was just torching those two on the post. The Thunder kept having to double LeBron because he was so much bigger than his defender and LeBron kept hitting the wide open man and they kept hitting threes.

Would have been nice to see Durant go back on LeBron in the second half of Game 4 to at least force LeBron to adjust and beat them in a different way.

So OKC has to spend the offseason turning Durant into a good defender right?

I think OKC needs another scoring option. I think Ibaka can become that, but I'm skeptical.

They need to figure out their cap situation with Harden and Ibaka, but other than that, they just need KD to put enough muscle on to be able to D bigger covers adequately and not get worn down and pushed around as much by physical defenders.

Ibaka is going to get MASSIVELY overpaid. MASSIVELY. he has one skill (blocking shots helpside) and one half skill (sometimes hitting outside jumpers) and that's it. Can't pass, so he basically stands around 20 feet from the basket each possession and sets picks. Can't catch the ball, so he's useless in transition. And can't defend anyone who stands more than 5 feet from the basket

But he blocks more shots than anyone in the league and someone is going to pay him. He's valuable to us while he's cheap, but someone's going to price him out of the range where it makes sense for us to keep him.

Didn't he finish second in DPOY voting or something? That's the kind of reputation that will follow him around for the rest of his career now.

Mark Cuban just destroyed the hosts of First Take, especially Skip, on ESPN. The man just schooled them all on basketball analysis.

Skip and co were going on about how LeBron and the Heat were just unstoppable this year and so much better than last year, and Cuban just tore it up. Went into depth about the Mavs defensive scheming, how OKC apparently didn't look at any of that tape last year, because their defense didn't try anything they did to stop the Heat last year. Then this exchange happened:

Skip: "Yeah, what did you guys do last year to stop them? A zone or something?"

Cuban: "If you never watch any tape, you don't know what questions to ask."

Skip: "We don't always have access to tapes."

Cuban: "It has nothing to do with access. It has everything to do with effort."

Bahahaha!

It's awfully hard to get video of the NBA finals though. Do they even have cameras there?

Someone please post the gif of Bosh pouring champagne on himself last night. I would but I can't access it now.

Here it is in image form.
