FWIW, several letters to the editor in the Kenosha News have backed Dino and slammed Braun. One writer even took a dig at Aaron Rodgers for his tweet supporting Braun.

So not all Brewer fans are behind Braun.

Since it's Kenosha I know for sure those are Brewer fan sentiments.

I find it amusing that Braun is off to a 1-17 start in spring training and the media is already asking him questions about his 'slow start'.

I loved this part:

The boos were clearly amped up at Tempe Diablo Stadium each time Braun came to the plate, with a sellout crowd of 9,641 in attendance. It was nothing like he's going to experience once the regular season starts, but Braun said he isn't concerned about outside distractions.

He was the screaming he was innocent from Day 1, and guess what? He was, failed test not withstanding. Why don't these people get over it? They just need to move on.

Jeez, haters.

I can't help but notice that Braun is currently hitting .245/.316/.388/.704 with 1HR. It seems to me as though he might have a history of being a slow starter, but if he doesn't pick things up soon, it won't look good for him or MLB.

Didn't know where else to put this...

Eliezer Alfonzo has been cleared of his 100-game PED suspension due to procedural concerns.

Alfonzo used the same out as Ryan Braun, arguing that the shipment and storage of his urine sample did not follow procedure. He's eligible to play immediately and should report to Triple-A Colorado Springs shortly.

MLB should probably figure out a way to change the acceptable procedure for storing samples. Or maybe stop testing on days where people won't be able to ship them for a couple days leading to this situation.

Way to take your ball and go home, MLB.

What?

Seems like it's out of spite, because the "independent" arbitrator ruled against MLB. I'm not saying Braun is innocent or guilty (although he's probably guilty), but this just reeks of spite.

I wonder if the Player's Union is going to do anything. "Ok, here's the deal.: You're an "independent" arbitrator, but if you rule against us, we'll fire you."

A guy made a stupid decision and they had the ability to fire him, so they did. That's not taking your ball and going home. That's acting appropriately in response to incompetence.

I guarantee this is because MLB looks bad. If he had ruled in favor of MLB in spite of overwhelming evidence in support of the player, I guarantee they wouldn't have fired him because he was incompetent. The Union might have, but MLB wouldn't have. This is spite, plain and simple. They didn't get their way and now they're throwing a tantrum, not unlike my toddler.

What exactly do you think the Player's Union can do? The arbiters can be fired by either side with or without cause.

I understand that. The arbitrator is someone agreed upon by both sides who can be dismissed by either side at any time. My point is that it's just petty and spiteful on MLB's part. Yes, they were legally within their rights to do so, but that doesn't make it any less petty.
