Remember the contract Weis got when he took a job no one wanted in 2004? And not having any OL in years 2 and 3 isn't nearly as bad as having a rape scandal. Can PSU have an intern as HC?

It's taking too long because nobody wants the job. If I'm a candidate, I'm holding out for the dump trucks that were previously headed to Brad Stevens's house.

Maybe Stevens will take the job.

we've got to be getting into the realm of three to four dump trucks at that point. be realistic ssr, come on.

Serious question - how many commits have decommitted since the scandal?

they've lost commit DT Tommy Schutt (Rivals #52, to OSU), and PSU lean DE Noah Spence (Rivals #9, to OSU) and their top two current commits LB Camren Williams and DB Armani Reeves are both looking around; Michigan's waiting to scoop up the latter if he jumps ship

And at least as important, how many top recruits have commited since the scandal?

no "top" recruits, but one or two 3-star guys have committed

Any Michigan State fans on here? If so, thoughts on Pat Narduzzi?

He'd be a pretty solid hire for A&M. He's done good things at MSU.

@RapSheet: Patriots OC Bill O'Brien is informing people around NFL he's agreed to become Penn St.'s coach

Him?

Everything I've read makes me want him in Aggieland. Then again, all of that is coming from A&M people so I sometimes wonder if they're ignoring the negatives and solely focusing on the positives in case we do hire him.

I like the picture this puts in my mind of the guy mingling in some conference center butting in on conversations to tell people he's going to be teh head coach.

Sounds like former 4/5 star (depending on service) WR Justin McKay is transferring to KU too. Weis is going to bring in every guy he ever recruited that got passed on their respective depth chart and take the fka big 12 by storm.

No disrespect, but it would really bother me if we lost Narduzzi to A&M. I have no illusions that MSU is a power program, but I would hardly consider doing the same job at A&M an upgrade...unless it is money. If that is the case than MSU should pay up to keep him.

I don't necessarily think A&M is a step up in prestige from MSU, unless he is enamored with coaching in the SEC for some reason. You would definitely need to give him a nice raise if you want to keep him. I've heard rumblings that we may be willing to go as high as $750K if need be. On top of that, there are no state income taxes here in Texas.

some of the comments toward the bottom are pretty great too

Saban? No thank you, I've got a Kelly.

He turns five different shades every week on the telly.

The quarterbacks rotate, back and forth, in and out,

for your star receiver, he has only one route.

Sometimes you play well, other times like pushovers,

but there’s always a metric [expletive]-ton of turnovers.

Things are improving, well, maybe, I think.

In the meantime, someone please pour me drink.

Pelini, you say? Why not a Tyrone?

He’s got charisma like styrofoam!

He doesn’t recruit, he just golfs, four to a group,

and his quarterbacks always look like they’re taking a poop.

Consistency is important, and he’s second to none.

He always loses to USC by 31.

Yes, you need a Tyrone while your program wanders,

and then he calls you racist in front of Jon Saunders.
