He is EXACTLY the type of guy that Theo, et al. would hang out with to talk numbers. They were going to try to get clarification as to what his role would be moving forward.

Just because a song is written about something you like doesn't make it good.

 

Song is written in a depressing tone and isn't about bringing it home, its about SOMEDAY winning it all. Someday being who knows how long. "Someday we'll go all the way" is the same thing as saying "Wait til next year"

 

If you're a pessimist that's how you interpret it. There are an infinite # of ways to enjoy, and interpret music. Something you absolutely hate, is loved by others. Just because you hate something doesn't make it bad. I hear a hopeful yet somber tone in that song. It becomes much more uplifting if you listen to it now, with the whole change in front office we have had.
