I'll be very disappointed if we don't blitz the [expletive] out of the Bears on Sunday. That's all the Saints were doing late in the game, and it was obviously working.

I think a big part of why our secondary has been as bad as it has is because we haven't really generated much of a pass rush with our linemen. I'll be worried about our rush if Cutler stays clean on Sunday afternoon.

The line for the game sounds about right. I think it's going down to the wire, like almost all of our games seem to do nowadays.

Couldn't agree more. I do think we had about 4 or 5 plays against Carolina that if it wasn't Cam Newton we get a sack out of the play. Clay can't do it all. But I do think if they do blitz more it will give our secondary a chance to step in front of a Jay Cutler pass and make a play.

Nick Collins out for the year sucks so bad. Bigger than any injury we had last year on defense. The worst part is Green Bay was getting shredded in the secondary BEFORE Collins got hurt.

Before the year I picked the Bears to win this game. Collins going down is huge. And it's not like I don't think Green Bay can't win, I just don't like their chances this weekend.

Ugh, I heard that on the radio this evening. We're in a bad, bad way right now if that secondary doesn't get it together. Cutler could pick us apart. That's a big loss.

With Williams (who should be back soon it sounds like) and Collins both hurt are there any remaining FA or potential trade targets for the Packers to shore up the secondary?

Hopefully Cutler not having a footprint on his throat will help with picking up blitzes.

How has GB been against the screen? That was something that the Saints did a pretty good job of taking away from the Bears.

Should make everyone feel a little bit better about the line going forward despite Carimi's injury.

I'm not sure why you would think this. The line sucks. We know it sucks. It has sucked for a while and it has the same sucky players. It will continue to suck until they get better lineman.

Not sure how this didn't get more publicity, but the "headlines" that Fox said were real during the Bears-Falcons game....weren't.

Sorry the article is in graphic form, so it's a bit difficult to read.

I thought at the time those looked fishy...I didn't think he was attacked like that in any Chicago newspapers.

From a Packer perspective, Hopefully this is the week Starks gets the majority of the carries and Grant is only used sparingly. Not that Grant has done anything wrong, but Starks is clearly the better back and needs to get more touches.

I agree. Starks is averaging 6.8 YPC, while Grant is averaging 4.3. Obviously Starks won't keep that up but I think he's the better back between the two.

Those headlines that Fox uses during games have always been sort of screwy. I remember watching a game last year where there was absolutely no way that it was used in a newspaper before Buck said, "These are real headlines from newspapers and articles throughout the season." Nice job, Fox.

Have the Bears ever won a game where they wore the orange jerseys? It seems like they save them for games that they expect to lose.

The worst part of the Packers winning the super bowl last year for me is that around here all of the "die hard" Patriot fans have switched to "lifelong" Packer fans. ugh.

Vasher's 108-yd missed FG return was in the orange jersey. Bears won 17-9.

I believe they wore them in a night game against SF IN 2004 and won. They again wore them in 2005 against the Niners and won. Can't remember who they wore them against in 2006... It was probably either against BUF, SF, or MIA. 2 of those we won. In 2007 we looked awful in losing against Detroit. Don't remember who we wore them against in 08 but in 09 I believe we beat the Browns in them. Last year we didn't wear them.

So we are somewhere between 3-3 and 5-1 wearing the Orange jerseys.

Didnt we wear them for the Thanksgiving day game against the Cowboys in 2004 when Drew Henson got his first start?

Mia, we lost. Pretty sure. Jason Taylor killed Grossman several times that game.
