I've always thought Heyman sucks.... at least Rogers is local and very well may be more plugged in to this story than Heyman. But Rogers sucks too and looks like an old lady.

I'm surprised at the least that we have had no word if even the Red Sox have granted him permission to interview. Nothing at all has been leaked out.

So, basically, Heyman says people around the game say Epstein will most likely stay put if nothing changes. First of all, the Cubs and Red Sox have not leaked a word about anything to anyone regarding Ricketts meeting with Epstein. So unless Ricketts just met with him today, was turned down and before the Cubs and Red Sox confirmed this, some outside media outlet got the news before the chief parties involved did, this is baseless crap.

So if they do extend Theo, and it's not to a higher role, then doesn't that make Cherington the top candidate? If they do extend Theo, and Ben is then offered a GM job with The Cubs, I doubt they's have a problem with letting him come over.
