Garza (4-6, 4.07 ERA)

In the contest of whose last name turns up the better first GIS hit (safe search moderate [recommended]), Garza wins in a blowout.

After the Cubs lost yesterday, bringing their record to 0-9 when attempting to extend the season win streak to three, Quade said, "I'll take 2 wins and a loss the entire year and live happily ever after."

Also, after avoiding the sweep, the Sox have guaranteed their retention of the coveted BP cup, which is going to explode and spill oil into the Cell for the rest of the season. Go Cnbs.

I thought that if there was a tie, the not so coveted BP Cup goes to the winner of the final game of the series. Not going to matter, because Phil Humber will continue his journey from top draft pick to obscurity to ace and the we Rodrigo Lopez pitches Sunday. Im really not confident that the Cubs can take either of these games, which is fine by me as that would give me the opportunity to check out on this season once and for all aside from the trade deadline.

I feel like we have success against pitchers who perform well, that really shouldn't be. We tag Humber for 5 runs, and Men in Blue posts 9 image related posts during the game thread.

I feel like I know Men in Blue, because there is this loser Cubs fan that I'm friends with on facebook. He always get in arguments with me on there about how the Cubs "did Sandberg wrong!", thinks that Ricketts should have made this team better already and is a terrible owner, and recently posted that new terrible Gene Woj article, quoting it like it was the smartest article of all time.

I don't like that guy and probably won't like Men in Blue.

I think this is true. We win the last 2 games we win the BP cup.

for some stupid reason St. Louis is showing the Cleveland and Cincinnati game instead. :x

Yeah, this sucks, but Cards fans are obsessed with the Reds right now.

The Cubs aren't exactly much of a threat to them. I still think that the Brewers are the team to beat in the division.

Same thing here in Fort Wayne which is really, really weird. I can't remember the last time a Reds game bumped a Cubs game off FOX up here. Chicago teams generally get preference usually. :x
