Was just about to ask why Barney is still hitting #2

 

I still think Castro should be hitting 2. Everytime hes in the 3 hole, he slumps.

 

I mentioned this yesterday and asked what the splits looked like in each spot..Barney does not have to be in the 2 spot. Look how Castro thrives in the one and two compared to the three hole.

 

1st: 352/380/500/880 (92 PA)

2nd: 322/356/423/779 (412 PA)

3rd: 230/256/329/585 (160 PA)

Exactly. Going by the way Aramis and Pena have been hitting, theyd be the closest thing to a decent 3-4 hitters weve had in 2 years.

As far as Im concerned, if these guys embarass us again, the Mike Quade era should end Sunday night. Regardless of what effect it would or wouldnt have on this team, if they decide to build a contender for 2012 and beyond, Quade has no business at the helm, and its time to start auditioning someone else. Even with the injuries, this team should not be the joke that it is.

That hurts a lot more than the Cubs do. At least we knew the Cubs were going to be bad. I'm stunned at how the Blackhawks are trying to become everything they weren't three years ago: slow, old, gritty and mediocre.

If the Cubs are planning on contending in 2012, I can assure you their next manager won't be someone who needs to audition for the job.
