Moneyball starring Brad Pitt as Billy Beane

Has anyone else heard about this movie? Sounds very interesting. It has Carlos Pena as a character in it. It also features former player Royce Clayton as soon to be former player Miguel Tejada.

If I am not mistaken when the cut was shown to audiences Jonah Hill's acting was widely praised.

It's a good point. This doesn't seem like real good material for a movie. The people who are interested in this want detail, as in the text that actually describes how Beane conducted his business. And that's already available at your local Barnes & Noble. Beyond that, it's just seeing if Pitt can portray an interesting character. Worth the price of a movie ticket? For me, nah.
