@Rontrarian: Appel's velocity is down to 90 +/- 1. There is action in the bullpen. It is the 2nd inning.

Posted this in the transaction thread, but will put it here too. Bundy is making his first start today since TJS. He's making 2 starts at Aberdeen in the Penn League before going to AA. They are letting him go 5 innings or 75 pitches in both starts, whichever comes first.

Chris Cotillo ‏@ChrisCotillo 1m

Garin Cecchini is physically in Boston right now, while Pawtucket is in Rochester. He's at least in waiting at the moment. #RedSox

i vaguely remember arguing that he could be in the bigs this year...it was in reference to some trade idea or something last year. so, HAHA, i was right.

Appel is dying a slow death and now this for Correa:

@jasondschwartz: Carlos Correa appears to hurt right ankle sliding into 3rd base on a triple. Was carried off field. #JetHawks #Astros

@jasondschwartz: Correa was just carted from dugout to back of LF fence. Had towel draped over head with head in hands. Very upset. #JetHawks #Astros

Better not let anything happen to Aiken, Houston.

Seeing a couple reports that Correa broke his fibula. Yikes.

I'm always a little wistful when I see other teams promote their prospects quickly without regard for the financial ramifications

That day will come soon for the Cubs, too.

You've got some insider info about the Ricketts mercifully selling the team?

Well, you don't draft a guy like Marco Gonzalez and worry about arbitration/super 2 considerations.

He's also only coming up for one start as Joe Kelly is about to come back and Carlos Martinez has the other hole filled.

That's not necessarily the case. I think Kelly has another couple weeks before he's ready and based on what the cards beat reporter said on the radio this morning, it sounds more like a see how he does and then make a decision kind of deal.

I'm more wistful of those sexy numbers he's putting up. Almost 11k/9 and K/BB of almost 5.
