Puig in CF won't be pretty.

Still wish the Cubs had gotten him.

Not as ugly as Ethier out there, which is what I think they'll do.

Julio Urias turns 17 in August.

Mike Zunino getting called up to the big club. AAA slash line of .238/.303/.503/.806.

Law just tweeted this

Mike Zunino's last 30 games in AAA: .240/.271/.471, 129 PA, 4 BB, 37 K.

Let's see how the Mariners wreck this once promising offensive prospect.

Also Cole is starting tonight for the Pirates.

6 players from the 2012 draft class promoted. Still all from the SEC. Incredible (and fluky).

Just saw Joey Gallo's numbers. Man he has some pop, but good lord he's gonna k 200 times in low A. Somewhere, Earl Cunningham is shaking his head.

Tons of Ks, HRs, and BBs last year. This year he's taking the Ks to the extreme and has quit walking, and the power isn't really there, either.

He has 20 HR?

That seems pretty good?

Jeez, I swear I checked his numbers a week ago and he had like 14 or 15 home runs...

Oh, he's hit 7 in the last 10 games. Damn.

He has 12 extra base hits (5 doubles, 7 homers) in his last 9 games.

He has also fanned 12 times in 39 plate appearances during that span. But still, a .432/.462/1.135 line over that time is still eye-popping.

courtney hawkins (white sox) has one of the more bizarre stat lines this year.

.199/.263/.525/.788

the good news? 13 home runs in 39 games played. 11 walks is also acceptable. the bad news? 75 strikeouts in 39 games, or a whiff in 48.1% of his plate appearances. i get that he's young for high A ball, but holy hell.

There's absolutely no reason he should be in A+.

Say he was in A ball... what would his K rate be? I have no clue, but I bet it would still be highly alarming.

You're right, contact issues were considered a red flag but he was always considered an incredibly raw prospect (as raw as Bubba Starling who started his first full pro season in rookie ball). The White Sox are just not doing him any favors.
