There was a guy on the postgame show on 720 yesterday saying how he's so angry that they didn't hire Sandberg that he doesn't want to take his granddaughter to her first game anymore, or something.

Whether tons of fans want Ryno to be the manager or not (I think many do), there is definitely at least the perception out there that he somehow got screwed out of the job in favor of a guy that is a career minor-league manager with little/no big league experience (which is sort of ironic).

 

I could absolutely see Ryno being hired as manager at least in part as a way to generate some interest from a portion of the fan base.

I can't imagine the next GM or even Hendry wanting someone to tell them that they need to hire Sandberg.

 

If Hendry is fired, I could see the GM retaining Quade for one year.

I think his fate is tied to Hendry's. I don't see Hendry firing a manager after just one year, but a new GM would likely bring in a new manager.

 

Any owner is his right mind would have immediately brought in a new GM, but we all know how that worked out.
