I was just trying to think of some of the worst Cubs managers in my lifetime. Remember Jim Essian, with that stupid tip of the cap whenever a player hit a homerun? I believe he followed Riggleman.

I clearly remember Jim Essian, even though I was pretty young back then. You don't forget that brand of awful easily.

You're right. He was after Zim. I know he was managing Iowa then the Cubs after a midseason firing.
