05/30 Houston (A. Rodriguez) @ CUBS (Lopez) 1:20 CDT, WGN TV

Imagine a game thread starter who is not so confounded and befuddled by watching a CUBS victory that they can actually remember to post tomorrow's game thread before they retire for the night.

Is Soriano hurt? He was subbed for by DeWitt between the bottom of the first and the top of the second.

He looked to grab his left quad as he was running through first base, but I didn't hear the tv announcers mention anything about it.

Yea hurt quad. Len and Bob said they will give more details when they have them, but with how things are going, I expect him DL'ed after the game

While Campana is nothing special with the bat, it sure is nice to have a legitimate base stealing threat for a change.

I ask because I really don't know: Why is Campana nothing special with the bat? He's hit well above .300 in his last two minor league seasons. I've never seen him play before he came up. Is there something that suggests he's a medicore hitter?

Left quad strain. Off for an MRI. I'm thinking at this point, the only question is will it be Brett Jackson or Tyler Colvin making their way to Wrigley.

Was this the same injury he had in 08?

The guy has no pop whatsoever. Even Sam Fuld hit for a bit of power in the minors.

It depends on who you ask. Most will probably tell you though that .300 doesn't mean much when you have zero power and an OPS barely over .700 in the minors. That said, his SB ability makes him more valuable than a normal player with that OPS.

But if someone has truly elite speed, I don't really want him trying to hit the ball in the air that much anyway.
