Every game last night went fairly close to KP's predictions (although the scores were a bit more lopsided), with NW beating GT the only underdog that won. Surprisingly the Illinois/Maryland game was the only game of the night that ended in single digits, and that just barely.

Illinois has a good shot at a high profile win against Gonzaga this Saturday at home, which could just push them into the top 25. Not sure they'd deserve it quite yet, but they're playing decently, and won a game last night they probably would've lost last year.

i've been surprised by the confidence that griffey seems to be playing with, i'm impressed with his development.

also, maybe brandon paul finally gets it, he took the ball to the hoop with regularity and good things happened. he played like a leader.

IU started off on fire.

Yeah, then Tom Crean decided it was a great idea to sub all over the damn place and put Tom Pritchard and Matt Roth on the court at the same time. #-o

Crean's sub patterns after that hot start were baffling to say the least.

IU still shooting very well but NC State is killing on the boards keeping it close.

Great, entertaining game. I know Hulls had 20 points and the biggest shot of the night. I know Zeller put the team on his back at times in the 2nd half. I know Oladipo turned it on late. But my game ball goes to Christian Watford. He finally played like an upperclassman. He really adjusted his game against a more athletic front line. Last year he would keep would keep trying to crossover quicker players and try to shoot 3s on slower/shorter players. I thought he did a good job taking the 3 when it was actually there. And I thought he did a great job using his strength advantage in the high post and on the baseline a couple times. He also decided in the 2nd half that he wasn't going to allow NC State to offensive rebound at will. Not to mention, he held NC State's best player to 10 points, and I think maybe 2 in the 2nd half.

Crean did a great job in the 2nd half sticking with the guys that needed to be out on the floor. Elston, Roth, and Pritchard weren't providing anything on either side of the floor or the boards, they thankfully weren't near the floor late in the game. Good game all around for IU. Big win on the road. NC State isn't a great team, but this win is only going to build confidence to a class of players who have won like 2 games outside of the state in the last 4 years.

Good to see the B1G put the challenge away for the 3rd straight year. The Wisky-UNC game should be interesting. Man, Wisky looks like a worse bunch of chuckers than they were last year so far, but Taylor is gonna be a beast in conference play.

IU showed tonight they're still missing that defensive shotblocker/rebounder inside (hopefully Perea will be that guy right away even if he has no offensive game). The key for them against these better teams though is that IU is no longer throwing out those lineups where they're playing 3 on 5 on the offensive end. Pritchard is the only guy on the floor teams can really sag off of and he's only out there a few minutes. And IU got their hands on a lot of passes on the defensive end, although they didn't come up with most of the loose balls. A very good win though for a young team especially having to come back like that.

(7) Wisconsin 24

(5) North Carolina 25 Halftime.

Badgers defense is playing really well tonight. Not shooting it well at all from 3pt land (3-15). Still only down 1 however at half. They are doing a great job on Barnes as well.

I enjoy watching Bo's 3-star athletes beating the McDonald's All American team.

How many times does this myth have to be dispelled. Wisconsin has legitimate talent. Ryan isn't winning with a bunch of scrubs

Add up the stars from both rosters and let me know what you come up with.

To humor myself, I looked. Bo has one 4-Star player on his roster. One.

Dekker is a 5 star guy they will get next year. But overall they are a bunch of 3 star guys with a couple 4's sprinkled in there.

scout's got him at a 4

ah, I was going off of Rivals. Honestly have no idea which one is better.
